Perfectly positioned between moor and coast, Foxes is a traditional stone cottage in the countryside hamlet of Lanhydrock, just five miles from Cardinham Woods and half an hour’s drive from the coastal villages of Padstow and Charlestown. Tucked away at the end of a farm lane, the property is one of just a handful of attractive stone dwellings in the area and features a cosy interior with plenty of space to unwind in, as well as a private garden for outdoor relaxation and entertainment.

Stepping inside, guests will be welcomed into a charming living room, where original features and a wood-burning stove create a lovely ambience. Modern furnishings including comfy seating and a large flat screen TV make for an inviting space to spend time no matter the weather, and a good size country style kitchen which is open plan with the lounge, has a dining table and chairs where guests can come together to share meals and conversation. Upstairs, three bright and beautiful bedrooms as well as the family bathroom offer ample room for five guests so the cottage is particularly well suited to families or couples looking for a wonderful base from which to enjoy the many attractions of the area.

Famed for its stunning grounds and historic country home, the National Trust’s estate at Lanhydrock (which is practically on the doorstep) bursts with opportunity for outdoor adventure and exploration. Woodland walks, cycle paths and parkland mean that visitors of all ages and abilities are able to enjoy fresh air gambols whether challenging or mellow, and the estate’s wonderful surroundings, including its manicured gardens, picnic areas and tearoom are a fantastic way to spend a whole day out with friends or family.

    Open plan with kitchen and dining area, the ground floor lounge is furnished with two sofas, an armchair and a footstool as well as a wall mounted Smart TV and log burner for getting cosy in front of. A selection of children’s toys and games are provided

    A farmhouse-style kitchen which is open plan with the living room, offers plenty of countertop space for meal prep. It features a wide range of appliances that include an electric fan-assisted oven and grill, electric hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, toaster, kettle and Dolce Gusto coffee machine. Other items are a cafetiere, iron / ironing board, vacuum cleaner and a range of cookware, crockery, glasses and utensils

    Incorporated within the kitchen, the dining area is furnished with a table and seating for 5 guests with fold-up chairs available for extra guests

    Upstairs on the first floor, this light-filled bedroom is furnished with a super-king size bed which can be converted to 2 singles, side tables with reading lights, a chest of drawers, built-in wardrobe and a wall mounted Smart TV. Thick stone walls create a deep reveal for the window which has views over the garden. Original timbers and whitewashed stone walls add character to the space

    Also on the first floor, this twin bedroom has garden views and is furnished with 2 single beds, bedside tables, mirror, built-in wardrobe and chest of drawers

    The family bathroom is on the first floor and has a bath and over bath shower as well as a hand basin, mirror and WC. A hairdryer is provide within the property

    A private garden to the back of the house features lawn and gravel. It is furnished with a rattan outdoor suite of a table, sofa and two chairs and offers a charcoal BBQ and a wonderful bubbling hot tub. Please be advised the hot tub usage is restricted to 10pm to respect the neighbours adjoining the property

    There is allocated private parking for two vehicles on the gravel to the front of the cottage

Good Housekeeping Bond
We ask our guests for a £150 good housekeeping bond, which is pre-authorised against your card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved and then released afterwards if there is no claim. We will contact you nearer the time of your arrival to arrange this.
