In keeping with its Georgian heritage, Apartment 3 at The Manor House retains many of its original features, with high ceilings and picture rails framing the interior, and ornate fireplaces and sash windows adorning its rooms. Gorgeous bedrooms complete with sumptuous bedding and luxury linens create two spacious sanctuaries for four, where nights of blissfully deep sleep can be relished and long morning lie-ins are par for the course, while a large modern kitchen with breakfast bar and seating comes amply equipped with all the conveniences of a modern home.

Famed for its Royal Naval Academy, the River Dart has been enticing sailors and boating enthusiasts for decades, with vessels of varying sizes and modes gracing its sparkling waters all year round. Fine dining restaurants and cosy pubs line Dartmouth’s narrow streets while a host of independent shops and boutiques make it the perfect place for a shopping spree or two. Surrounded by stunning countryside, the coastal road from the town meanders through some of the prettiest of villages in the South Hams, with beautiful beaches spanning its pristine coastline all the way to Salcombe.

    Located on the ground floor, this elegant room features a large bay window with sash windows and wraparound bench seating and fantastic river views. A large sofa as well as two armchairs means plenty of seating for guests to relax in, with a floor lamp, several occasional tables, table lamps and a traditional fireplace with wood-burning stove (guests are asked to provide their own logs and firelighters)

    Located on ground floor, this modern kitchen has plenty of worktop space as well as storage. A range of appliances are offered including an electric fan-assisted oven and grill, electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and tumble dryer
    Cooking utensils and small appliances are also supplied and these include a coffee machine, kettle, toaster, cafetiere, vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board.

    Located on first floor, this en-suite room has large sash windows with stunning views across the Dart. Furnished with a super king size bed, free standing wardrobe and chest of drawers there is also an armchair and footstool creating the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee while taking in the views
    The original fireplace and hearth add a lovely feature to the room which has two large bedside tables with drawers and lamps as well as a coffee table.

    Located on first floor, this beautiful room is furnished with twin beds and features another wonderful original fireplace. Light floods the room from a large sash window and there are two side tables with lamps as well as a chest of drawers and wall-mounted hooks for clothes hanging

    Located on first floor, the bathroom has a bath tub and hand basin as well as a separate walk in shower cubicle with electric shower. There is an overhead cabinet with mirror, heated towel rail and WC, and a hairdryer is provided

  • Parking
    This property does not have allocated parking and off street parking is limited.
    Guests are advised to park directly outside the property on arrival (on the double yellow lines), to offload their luggage before moving on to a car park.
    There are short stay spaces available directly outside the property on South Town, but these are few and popular and parking is restricted to that of 2 hours from 9:00am to 6:00pm (between 1st May and 30th Sept).
    From October to April there are no restrictions.
    The property does however provide a Mayors Avenue car park permit (which is approximately 8 minutes walk away) for guests to use, with spaces available on a first come first served basis.
    The best time to secure a spot in the car park is either before 10:00am or after 4:00pm, however if no space is available the permit will allow guests to use the 'Park & Ride' car park a mile away which rarely fills up.
    The Park & Ride service currently operates between 12th April and 31st October. For more information visit the Park & Ride website here.
    The car parking permit also allows parking inr many other car parks in South Hams including the towns of Totnes, Slapton, Torcross, Kingsbridge, Salcombe and Bigbury.

Security Deposit
We ask our guests for a £150 security deposit, pre-authorised against your credit card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay or if the parking permit is not left in the apartment on departure. The money is simply reserved and then released afterwards if there is no damage. We will contact you nearer the time of your arrival to arrange this.
