Sprawling countryside, pretty coastal towns and fabulous beaches are just some of the many attributes that make the South Hams such an attractive holiday destination for family or friends. Set in the heart of the rural landscape surrounding Totnes, this beautiful period farmhouse with its private hot tub creates a relaxing retreat away from everyday life’s busy schedules, with oodles of outdoor space to run free in and a gorgeous interior with ample room for all.

Strolling along the quaint cobblestone path that leads to an original oak front door, guests are welcomed into a lovely entrance hall with slate flagstone flooring, high ceilings and a staircase that winds to the upper floor. Combining the old with the new, thick stone walls, sash windows and enormous fireplaces sit alongside plush sofas, grand furnishings and modern décor, for an atmosphere of away-from-it-all elegance that flows throughout.

A fabulous sitting room with sinkable seating and a wood-burning stove is just the place for morning conversation or afternoon reading, and the amply equipped kitchen with its blue Aga and farmhouse table is perfectly suited to home cooking and mealtimes with all the family. Upstairs, the home’s beautiful bedrooms (one of which is en-suite) are spacious and bright with antique furniture, luxury beds and lovely views creating four inviting sanctuaries to retreat to after days spent exploring the delights of the local area.

Outside there are spaces to entertain in as well as places for quiet reflection with far reaching countryside views over a boating pond and beyond creating an idyllic spot for spending time in the sunshine. An enclosed gravelled courtyard with two barbecues, a large fire bowl and an outdoor dining suite lends itself perfectly to fresh air cooking and dining, with a one-acre paddock and flat area ideal for outdoor games. Beyond are over seventy acres of land belonging to Fletchers with trails, streams and copses to which guests have access.
