Lovingly styled and beautifully maintained, tthis gorgeous home has plenty of space both inside and out, with four gorgeous bedrooms and three bathrooms offering up to eight guests all the room they need to enjoy utter relaxation.

There’s a sense of mid-century grandeur in some of the home’s furnishings, but the inspired colour scheme and bespoke décor is evident throughout, with designer touches adding a sense of the opulent. Outdone only by the views, Shimoda’s interior not only looks good, but is also fabulously equipped. There’s a stunning kitchen complete with granite worktops and copper-toned walls, as well as an Aga for rustling up something fancy for dinners. The breakfast island makes a comfy spot for enjoying a morning coffee and croissant, and a range of crockery and cooking utensils that would have Nigella beaming, are provided. Incorporating that essential indoor / outdoor lifestyle, the home’s two living spaces open out on to the terrace where wooden loungers invite you to soak up the sunshine and a dining set tempts al-fresco lunches. The two sea-facing bedrooms upstairs enjoy their own access on to the top balcony which, also furnished creates the perfect perch for watching the evening sun set.

Ideal for families, Shimoda is less than five minute’s walk from Sidmouth’s Victorian promenade. Attractive and iconic in equal measure, the promenade overlooks the town’s sandy stretch and beckons morning strolls as well as post-beach cornets. Boutique shops are plentiful in Sidmouth as are restaurants and cafes, so non-beach days are filled with perusing and/or shopping sprees, as well as lunching on anything from posh fish and chips to vegan burgers and wedges.

The money is simply reserved (held as a pending transaction) and then released afterwards if there is no damage or additional cleaning. This will be held on the card on file 7 days prior to your arrival.

    Linen & Towels: Bed linen is provided for your stay, however, if you require use of the travel cot you will need to bring your own cot linen.     Wi-Fi: This property offers free Wi-Fi for guests, however, we cannot guarantee the speed and connectivity. Therefore, if you are planning to work during your holiday, we recommend bringing a wifi dongle.
    Wood Burner: There is one basket of wood provided for the wood burner.
    Coffee Machine: Nespresso and Dulce Gusto coffee machine
    Smoking: All of our properties are non-smoking and we ask that any party member who smokes, do so off the premises.
