As soon as you step inside your beautiful, recently-decorated first floor apartment, you’ll be ready to kick-back and start your holiday. You’ll be welcomed by a light-filled living space that’s perfect to relax in after a day out exploring or walking along Slapton Sands, an immaculate three-mile-long shingle beach overlooking Start Bay, which is just a few steps away from your apartment.
With views of both the sea and the freshwater lake in the nature reserve opposite, you can cook, eat, read, watch TV or simply plan your next day’s adventure, visiting nearby sandy beaches, National Trust properties or any of the delightful local towns such as Kingsbridge (7 miles), Salcombe (13 miles) and Dartmouth (7 miles). After all that activity your two spacious bedrooms (one double, one twin) provide a tranquil space to retire to at the end of the day!
At the Beach can be found in the pretty coastal village of Torcross, which has a important second world war history and offers features such as Slapton Ley National Nature Reserve and bird sanctuary, wonderful walks, a handful of popular restaurants and cafés, whilst nearby is Stokely farm store, with a café, brewery, artisan shops and a small garden centre. Nearby Slapton Village has a pretty pub and a well-stocked community store for all your basic needs.

Security Deposit: We ask our guests for a £100 good housekeeping bond, which is pre-authorised against your card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved (held as a pending transaction) and then released afterwards if there is no damage or additional cleaning. This will be held on the card on file 7 days prior to your arrival.
Pets: Two pets allowed, £25 per pet per week. We ask that pets are not allowed on beds or furniture; two dog beds are provided and are stored under the bed in the master bedroom
Number of steps: There are six steps into the building with seventeen shallow stairs to the apartment
Type of heating: Central heating with radiators and heated towel rails
Linen & Towels: Bed linen is provided for your stay, however, if you require use of the travel cot please advise us in advance so that we can provide a cot sheet. Each guest will be supplied with one hand towel and one bath towel for their stay. (If your holiday is longer than 10 days, please contact the Luxury Coastal team to discuss a mid-stay linen change)
Wi-Fi: This property offers free superfast Wi-Fi for guests, however, we cannot guarantee the speed and connectivity due to the location of the property. Therefore, if you are planning to work during your holiday, we recommend bringing a Wi-Fi dongle.

Smoking: All of our properties are non-smoking and we ask that any party member who smokes, do so off the premises. All common parts, indoors and outdoors, as well as every property in the building, are non-smoking.

At the Beach occupies a prime position in the sleepy South Devon village of Torcross, perfect for those who like to kick-back and relax. Many of the apartments have wonderful views out to sea or across to Slapton Ley Nature Reserve, a haven for wildlife throughout the year and, as the name suggests, you can be on the beach within minutes.

This property is situated in a beautiful location sandwiched between the sea and a nature reserve. There is a pub on the seafront and also a cafe but not much else so you need to plan beforehand for essential items like milk as there is no welcome pack/hamper. The flat is lovely and fairly clean but we both found the bed uncomfortable. This is a great base to explore south Devon and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful escape.

Nice apartment its a shame that there was no welcome pack this year and no cleaning products apart from 3 dishwasher tablets. So the place gets grubby and you can't clean up! Fab new bathrooms. No coffee machine although the detailed info says there is. But loads of crockery etc which is great. A couple of good pubs in walking distance (Tradesmans Arms for great food). All in all a lovely stay.

Ourselves and the owner deeply apologise for the welcome pack being absent for your stay, this is being looked into with the supplier, we will be reaching out to make matters right regarding this. We are glad you love the location with the local pubs and agree Torcross would benefit with a shop but in the meantime you can find plenty of information in the welcome folder for finding shops locally.
