Close enough to Newquay to enjoy all the action of a busy resort town, yet in its own peaceful corner of a small seaside village so you can truly feel away from it all. To the front of the building is a shared outside area with astro turf and picnic benches – perfect for brekkies in the sunshine while the children burn off their energy. For those travelling green there’s electric vehicle charging available, and you’ll find private parking for one car on the premises.

Where to grab a bite

The heart of the village lies within a short stroll from your front door and here you’ll discover a handful of good pubs and restaurants.

Old Albion Inn (10 minutes on foot and a couple of minutes by car)

This award-winning 400 year old traditional thatched pub is the perfect place for relaxed dining and terrific food. Well-renowned for its seafood dishes like its popular stew which is made using fennel, fresh daily caught fish and Cornish mussels, you can indulge in a varied and delicious menu that includes flame-fired steaks, gourmet burgers and Sunday roast dinners. There’s a lovely outside area for alfresco dining in the sunshine too when the weather’s sunny.

The Cornishman (10 minutes on foot and a couple of minutes by car)

On colder days you’ll be able to keep cosy around two large wood burners inside, and on sunshine days there’s a vibey outside area where live music is often showcased. On the menu are crowd-pleasing offerings of pizzas, wagyu beef burgers, nachos and fish and chips.

C-Bay Bat & Bistro (15 minutes on foot and a couple of minutes by car)

Spectacular views and a chic atmosphere make this one of the area’s favourite spots for eating out. The bistro serves a selection of light bites at lunchtime with dishes like Caesar salad, sticky belly pork, chicken tacos and their signature ‘C-Bay’ Burger and fish & chips on the menu. A more sophisticated line-up graces the evening’s menu with curries, steaks and freshly caught seafood.
