Renowned for being one of the most scenic railway lines in Britain, The South Devon Railway Line which starts in Exeter, runs through Dawlish and on to Newton Abbot. The journey includes passing under the distinctive red cliffs along the coast and affords passengers spectacular views along the Exe Estuary and out to sea.

This is a small, secluded beach located between Dawlish and Dawlish Warren. Accessible via a footpath from Dawlish Warren, Red Rock Beach is known for its striking red cliffs and peaceful ambiance. It’s an ideal spot for those seeking a quieter beach experience away from the crowds.

Coryton Cove

This is a smaller, more secluded beach nestled between Dawlish and Dawlish Warren. It’s a favourite spot for families seeking a quieter atmosphere. The sheltered cove is great for swimming and rock pooling, and there’s a café nearby for refreshments.

Dawlish Town Beach

Situated close to the town center, this pebble beach is easily accessible and offers beautiful views of the coastline. It’s a great spot for a leisurely stroll or a relaxing picnic. During high tide, the waves can come close to the sea wall, providing a dramatic backdrop.
