Fingle Glen Lodges, Exeter

Settling in the heart of the mid Devon countryside just a few miles outside of Exeter, Fingle Glen Lodges is lovely family-friendly resort with a host of onsite facilities to delight and entertain guests of all ages.

Constructed from Norwegian pine and sporting stunning views of the golf course and surrounding landscape, all the lodges are attractively presented with open plan living and comfortable bedrooms. Bright and spacious, the living areas open out on to large, sheltered decks with tables and seating for fresh air dining, as well as private hot tubs for relaxing the days away in. Sleeping four, each lodge has two bedrooms; an en-suite master with full bathroom and a second bedroom just across from a shower room.

Comfy sofas and flat screen TVs (with Freeview) in the living rooms mean guests can relax and unwind no matter the weather, and the kitchens come well-equipped with a range of utensils and appliances like fridge / freezers, microwaves, toaster, kettle and washing machine. Dine inside or out, or pop down to the onsite No. 19 Bar and Restaurant for a delicious meal (and no washing up!).

All the lodges are pet-friendly, so those guests who can’t bear the thought of leaving their four-legged friends behind, are most welcome to bring them along on holiday. The city of Exeter is less than 15 minutes’ drive away and is home to many good restaurants, shops and museums while places like Darts Farm and Topsham lie a mere 20 minutes’ drive away.

Also on site is the Fingle Glen Golf resort, a challenging 18 hole course surrounded by lush landscape, trees and nature. If you’d like to play the course you’ll be able to hire clubs from the Proshop as well as buggies and trollies. There’s a driving range for you to brush up on your strokes and a putting area for to practise your short game.

If however you’re after something slightly more sedate but just as much fun, Fingle Glen now offers a SMARTGOLF, a Golf Simulator that allows you to play virtually, with your own clubs and balls on a host of the world’s best courses so you can stay warm and dry when the weather’s soggy.

For children and young people, there are many lovely things to enjoy including The Little Farm with its resident goats, chickens and ponies, and the newly-installed games room with pool tables, arcade games and coin-operated rides.
