A lovely stay in a great location
5/5

Lovely little cottage, we loved the open-plan layout downstairs and the beautiful, modern kitchen. Plenty of space for all of us to sit, eat and socialise and all spotless and well-presented. We had a small issue with the boiler during our stay, which was quickly and efficiently resolved for us. Convenient location near a main road, yet very quiet and peaceful inside.

What a shame for a property that has so much potential, situated in a good area
2.8/5

We stayed in this property during Christmas period (22/12/23-27/12/23). The house has good decoration and great potential but, it has large amounts of mould on walls in most rooms. Really uncomfortable mattresses causing poor sleep, the garden is not dog friendly or secure, actually is a major risk since fencing has large gaps for dogs to escape into a major road. Dogs don't need to be escapists, even with constant supervision there is risks of accidents. Actually the next door dog crossed several times to our garden and was able to access the front yard, with direct access to a major road. The garden is also a hazard for humans, stone stairs leading up to / down from garden are very uneven with potential risk of injury, the bushes are not trimmed and cover most of the stairs, there is no proper light in the garden, only around the hot tub but really weak. It is highly likely that someone get injured with bushes branches in the way back in. Or fall the stairs that are uneven and partially covered by branches. Also there is no hooks or surfaces to leave towels around the hot tub, the only option is the fence, in a windy day you get a wet and muddy towel. Cuttlery was very dirty upon arrival, plates, cups and glasses also needed cleaning before use. only one tea towel was provided, what is not sufficient for 5 days and 5 people. The house has washing machine but no drying line or tumble dryer so washing was not an option. When having a bath we noticed the plug has no attachment so had to remove it from the plug hole with a knife. Overall all of these issues shade the fact that it was a lovely house located in a really lovely and central area of Cornwall.

Lovely house and perfect for families
4.2/5

We stayed in Rosenwyn Barn for a week in October. The house is beautifully set out and very modern and cosy, the fireplace makes it feel so cosy. Very secluded with ponies and chickens outside of the house which my daughter loved. We are a family of 4, 2 adults, a 2 year old and 7 month old baby and a dog, this house really suited us. Highchair, cot and stair gate were provided which was really helpful. It’s all hard flooring downstairs which I like as it takes the worry away of any spills with young children. All appliances etc worked well and were easy to use. The hot tub was amazing, so warm and easy to use, garden is fully enclosed for dogs. Was lovely to go out there and relax once the kids were in bed. We did have an issue with the skylight window blind which wouldn’t shut properly, and made it a bit tricky for us at nap times but I contacted them and they came to take a look at it and ordered a new one, sadly didn’t get fitted before we left but shouldn’t cause anyone else issues if it’s being replaced. There is a little shop, Chinese takeaway and pub close by. There isn’t much within walking distance with pushchairs so we had to drive everywhere but wasn’t really an issue for us. Probably more walking routes if you’re not limited by a pushchair but we didn’t mind driving to places. Only half hour from lands end and 20 mins to St Ives and really close to Penzance which has lots of facilities. Overall a really lovely stay, was perfect for us and would recommend.

Had such a nice time in Cornwall
4.8/5

We stayed at Rosenwyn Barn to celebrate my partner's 30th birthday and we all had such a good time. The facilities were great, we used the hot tub and BBQ - plenty of sun in the garden throughout the day. The bedrooms were nice sizes but maybe a little small if you are over 6ft tall! Which meant the beds were a little too small for the tall boys. The velux bedroom window didn't open so would be good to get this fixed before the summer bookings.

Cherry, 30 May 2023
