One of a small collection of pretty rural properties, the cottage has a fully enclosed courtyard garden with decked patio and furniture, so is perfect for families with children as well as pet-owning guests.

Inside, you’ll discover a lovely open plan living area complete with two contemporary sofas and a flat screen TV. The ideal spot for unwinding in after a day of exploring, you’ll be able to open the double doors leading out to the decked terrace and laze back while the children play outside. The room incorporates a dining area, as well as a fully fitted modern kitchen with all you’ll need for whipping up delicious home cooked meals, so you can cook, eat and relax together as a family. The cottage’s two bedrooms feature a master with comfortable double bed and children’s room with bunk beds. There’s also a large family bathroom with bathtub and rain head shower over, as well as a hand-held shower attachment to make bath time a breeze for guests with toddlers or babies in tow.

Set amidst picturesque countryside and within a short distance of some of the most beautiful spots in Cornwall, Croft Hooper cottages sit right off the A30 between Marazion and St Ives, just five minutes’ drive from St Erth Park and Ride. Spend days out exploring the iconic landmark at St Michael's Mount or wander the coast path before hitting the beach for sunbathing and water sports. The fishing port of Newlyn lies within a 15 minute drive away where visitors can enjoy fresh seafood and the town's buzzing art scene, while closer still is Penzance with its outdoor lido which is heated all year round.

Good Housekeeping Bond or Accidental Damage Waiver
We ask our guests for a £50 Good Housekeeping Bond, pre-authorised against your credit card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved and then released afterward if there is no damage. We will contact you nearer the time of your arrival to arrange this. 
Alternatively, a one-off, nonrefundable Accidental Damage Waiver of £15 can be added to your booking to replace the Good Housekeeping Bond and can be added as an extra when processing your booking.
Pets: 2 pets allowed, we are unable to accept cats and other pets, £40 per pet per week, in line with our house rules we do ask that pets are not left alone in the property, do not use the furniture or go in the bedroom areas

Linen & Towels: Bed linen is provided for your stay, however, if you require use of the travel cot you will need to bring your own cot linen. Wi-Fi: This property offers free Wi-Fi for guests, however, we cannot guarantee the speed and connectivity. Therefore, if you are planning to work during your holiday, we recommend bringing a wifi dongle.

Smoking: All of our properties are non-smoking and we ask that any party member who smokes, do so off the premises.
Additional Extras: There is a cot and a high chair available upon request, as these are not stored at the property, please add them to your booking if required.

Ideal location! The A30 is right on your doorstep but very easy access in both directions. Well equipped and hot tub was a major bonus! Overall the property needs some TLC inside and out. Nothing drastic but it feels let down by the issues (decking edging snapped, water damage vanity unit)

One to be forgotten, holiday.

On arrival we faced a dilemma of where to park, due to the amount of other vehicles parked. We then had difficulty unlocking the door, due to the unusual way of unlocking i.e. by forcing down and unlocking the key, the proved the same in the morning when trying to unlock. We have rented many cottages and been welcomed with a welcoming basket, with a pint of milk in the fridge, just what you need after a long journey and unloading and unpacking to settle in. Furniture was not as indicated on the web, i.e. dining table and chairs, also no coffee table and the crockery was a bit sparse. The bathroom towels were appalling and falling to bits, I wouldn't even have them as mopping up towels. I have taken photo of them. As for the bedroom, I arrived with a bad back and went home with an even worse back. The bed was so low and uncomfortable, the bedside tables were so wobbly you were worried about putting a drink on them, in case it fell over, and the wardrobe left a lot to be desired. doors were warped. While we are on the bedroom, there was an incessant humming all night, and on checking in the morning we found it to be the hot tub, it would have been nice to have been warned. Outside on the photos it looked a lot larger than it was, the fence could have done with a coat of paint to make it look better. The gate was hard to close due to slight warping. Also when trying to leave, it was a nightmare to get out either, onto, or across the A30, due to the speed of the on coming traffic, and to get into the village there was no footpath on that side, so you had to cross the road. Unfortunately, due to wife's bad back and having to do all the car loading and clearing up we managed to leave behind a laundry bag with some of our clothes in. We telephoned the property manager, Ross, and was informed that he was going down over the weekend to check it over, and talk to the cleaners and let us know. To date 29th September 25, no phone call or message has been forth coming, even though I text him for an update.

Hi Keith, Thank you for leaving us your feedback. We’re glad you chose to stay at Croft Hooper and we’re sorry to hear that certain aspects of your visit didn’t meet expectations. We do provide parking for up to two vehicles per cottage or annexe, and we apologise if space felt limited during your stay. Had we been made aware, we would have gladly assisted in relocating vehicles to ensure easier access. We’ve recently upgraded the dining table to a larger model and provide two sets of crockery per guest. We’re sorry if this felt sparse and will take your feedback into consideration. In regards to the bath towels, if we had been informed of them falling to pieces during your stay, we would have been able to replace these instantly! Please do send us in pictures of these towels. The bed is low compared to that of a divan base, Croft Hooper mattresses are medium to firm to cater to all needs, however mattress comfort is subjective. The bedside table had a screw loose and this has now been tightened, thank you for letting us know that this was wobbly. The hot tub does enter a cleaning cycle during the night, which may cause a humming sound. We would have been happy to adjust this for you had we known it was disruptive. In regards to the fence, there is a lot of leaves falling off the horse chestnut tree overhanging- rest assured this will be refreshed once the majority of the leaves have fallen. We recognise that traffic near Croft Hooper can occasionally be challenging, and while this is beyond our control, we appreciate your patience. Thank you again for your feedback it helps us improve and provide a better experience for all our guests.

When we arrived the lodge smelled like cigarette smoke which wasnt pleasant. Would be nice if a few basics were supplied - eg hand soap. The lodge was clean and tidy (bar the smell) and comfortable.

Lovely cottage but in need of a little TLC

Great location just a few minutes away from Marazion (st Michaels mount) and Penzance. Plenty of parking. Close to main road but not that noisy. There are other properties in the same complex that are larger, we stayed in one earlier this year which was maintained to a much higher standard. We felt that this property needed a little TLC. A welcome pack would have been a nice touch, but also a little more of the essentials such as maybe extra bin bags (we only had one!)
