FAQ’s for hot tub holidays

Do you supply towels for the hot tub
Our properties provide bath and hand towels however we do ask that guests bring their own leisure towels for the beach and/or hot tub.

Will the hot tub be up to temperature for our arrival?
Electric hot tubs are switched on at the same time a property is cleaned, so just prior to new arrivals. Water may be up to temperature by the evening however it can take up to 24 hours for them to reach optimum temperature. Keeping the lid on will help heat the water as well as maintain the temperature.
In the case of wood-fired hot tubs, guests will need to start the fire when they arrive. Some of our properties with wood-fired tubs may be able to offer a package that allows for the water to be heated to full temperature in advance however this will incur a charge. Please refer to our T&C’s for more information.

How often are the hot tubs cleaned?
Each hot tub is drained and refilled before new guests arrive, with some properties offering a daily cleaning service and others using a chemical float to keep water fresh during your stay. We ask that guests shower and rinse feet of sand / grass before getting in to help maintain water cleanliness.

Can children use the hot tub?
It isn’t advised that children under the age of 14 years old be permitted to use the hot tub however this will be at the guest’s own discretion. Children should however be supervised at all times if using the hot tub.

Are hot tubs private or shared?
All of the Holiday Properties we offer via Luxury Coastal offer private hot tubs exclusively for guest use. These are typically situated on private decking areas, ensuring privacy and comfort during your stay.

Are hot tubs safe to use?
Yes, when properly maintained, hot tubs are safe. As reputable holiday let providers, we adhere to health and safety guidelines, such as the HSG282 standards, to ensure water quality and guest safety.

Are hot tubs usable in winter?
Absolutely! Hot tubs are designed for year-round use, including winter. Many guests find soaking in a warm hot tub during colder months to be a delightful experience.

Can I adjust the temperature of the hot tub?
In many holiday lets, hot tubs are set to a fixed temperature to maintain optimal water quality and safety. If you have specific temperature preferences, it’s best to check with the property owner beforehand.
