St Mylor, Parish Church

Mylor to Flushing Circular Walk
A 4.1-mile route through an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, taking 2-3 hours to complete. The path runs along the creeks of Carrick Roads to Flushing, offering stunning views across to Falmouth, Fal, and St Mawes. It’s an easy to moderate walk, passing through a mix of coastal paths, woods, fields, and open spaces. Although well-defined, it can become very muddy after rain. Ideal for dog walkers, the route combines beautiful scenery with a relaxed, varied landscape.

Perfectly poised on the edge of the historic Mylor Yacht Harbour. this beautifully located cafe prides itself on its service and offers barista coffee, freshly prepared breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks. It’s also super dog friendly and easy to reach from the many scenic footpaths and routes in the area which is great news for anyone who enjoys an outdoor escapade. Flushing village is just a short scenic walk around Trefusis point where you can use the foot ferry for a lift over to Falmouth.

Resting on the bank of the Fal River, this wine bar on Mylor Harbour boasts beautiful scenery and a dynamic seasonal menu of quality seafood, locally sourced produce, draught beers and great wine. The food here is rated as excellent as is the service, and with stunning views, it’s a lovely place to visit.
The closest beach to Mylor is Flushing Beach which is small and quiet and has lovely views of Falmouth and the boats in the harbour. You can reach Flushing Beach by car in about 10 minutes from Mylor or by a longer walk along the coastline. Bigger beaches can be found within a 30-minute drive like Gyllyngvase Beach, Swanpool Beach and Maenporth Beach.
If you’re looking for relaxation and love the outdoors and water sports, Mylor is ideal. A hot spot for sailing and boating, there are also fantastic walking routes along the water and inland. Nearby, Flushing village has a couple of great pubs like the 13th Century Pandora Inn, and The Royal Standard, while within 30 minutes’ drive is Trebah Garden, Pendennis Castle, The National Maritime Museum and Swanpool Beach.
Mylor is conveniently located close to both Falmouth and Truro. From Falmouth, it is just a 10–15-minute drive (around 4 miles), and you can reach it by taking the A39 road, followed by the local B roads. From Truro, Mylor is about a 20-minute drive (around 10 miles), also via the A39. Some bus routes do operate nearby, but a direct service may not always be available.
