We are extremely proud to announce that we have won Gold at this year’s British Travel Awards.

The ‘Oscars’ of the UK travel industry, the British Travel Awards are the largest consumer voted awards in the UK. This year, over 1,660,863 votes were cast across all categories making it a record-breaking year!

The gala awards evening was held at Battersea Evolution, London on 28th November.

With a fanfare of Latin American-inspired music, dance and acrobatics setting the scene, and over 800 guests from across all sectors attending, it was a wonderful celebration of everything we love about the UK’s Travel and Tourism industry.

At the very beginning of Luxury Coastal’s journey we dreamed of taking part in the British Travel Awards – a goal that seemed a long way off in the future, but one we held on to nonetheless. That’s why, to be collecting the Gold award for Best Small Company for UK Holiday Home Rentals just shy of our 5-year anniversary is quite simply out of this world, and something we are immensely proud of.

British Travel Awards Director of events and partnerships, Lorraine Barnes Burton, said: “This year saw more than one and a half million votes cast to determine the winners and competition was fierce. Luxury Coastal is therefore to be sincerely congratulated on the achievement in winning Best Small Company for UK Holiday Home Rentals 2023. Ultimately it is the travelling public who decide the winners by voting for the travel companies they consider the best in the business. The British Travel Awards is the largest awards programme in the UK and to win is truly an achievement.”

We understand that holidays are personal, which is why we set out to build a business that puts service above everything else. We always strive to be better and do better – to look after each other, and support the communities and local businesses of the South West, which is after all our home.

This award has been a complete team effort, and we count ourselves lucky to have such a tight-knit work family to share it with. We also can’t thank everyone enough for voting for us and for making this win a reality. This year we will have welcomed over 30,000 guests on holiday with us, and we can’t wait to welcome even more in 2024.

Winning a British Travel Award has always been the dream since the early days of LC. It’s the pinnacle of our industry; a recognised, impartial award voted for by the general public, and to win one is something so special. We were up against some impressive, established competition so for us to take the gold so early in our journey was almost unbelievable. The moment our name was announced as winners, I was overcome with emotion and an immense sense of pride. I’m so grateful to everyone who voted for us and would like to take the opportunity to thank all Customers, Owners and Suppliers for their support in helping us create something special.
