Her pops of colour, use of metalics and clean lines add a cool edginess which we adore.

Whether you love its tactile qualities, silky textures or alluring hues, handmade pottery is something to treasure. Jacqueline Clark is a skilled potter and teacher living and working in Cornwall. Her hand thrown modern designs are inspired by the local landscape where she explores the seen and unseen of Cornwall’s coast and creeks through her designs. Our favourite collection is her Tidal range which uses hand inscribing to represent reeds, and soft grey and turquoise glazes to emulate the tones of the ocean and weather.

Handmade in Bristol by Bianca and Molly using Organic canvas woven in Dundee, Bric Company’s gorgeous goodies are all geared towards being out and about in Nature. Based in St Stithians Cornwall, Mable and Merryn creates bespoke, sustainable, handcrafted dog leads; their rope / knot designs taking inspiration from Cornwall’s nautical heritage. A thoroughly natural product, hemp softens with use and becomes beautifully tactile.

Solid brass clips and rings add a chunkiness that makes these much easier to handle and less fiddly to clip on and off, and leather stoppers ensure leads are secure. A truly unique gift idea from Cornwall-based Louise who is a skilled Textile Artist. She has produced a range of kits that include a pre-printed design ready to be embellished, and we love the idea! The kits come in a range of designs and include a lino-printed panel (made by Louise) as well as diagrams and detailed instructions. You’ll need to supply your own needles, scissors and driftwood for hanging, but what you’ll end up with is a hand embellished thing of beauty. So much fun and therapeutic too!
