In the minds of us at LC, partnerships are the name of the game. They have always been so, and now is more important than ever. Whether it be nurturing the relationship with a property owner or the mutual support between agency and affiliate partners, as new(ish) kids on the block, we know that this is the key to sticking around and recovering from the ‘now’.
Within the self-catering industry, partnerships come in all shapes and sizes, and it can be a small independent coffee shop or a huge conglomerate OTA, we see there is value for both us as the agency and that business in working together towards a shared goal. That goal is always increased awareness for both businesses, supporting tourism and income to our local destinations, security of business, increase revenue and better still, making friends professionally and personally.
It’s perhaps all obvious to say, but very quickly forgotten when things get busy or stressful, yet those relationships are the ones that will be there. Your community support package, if you will. And what’s more, when you get hit with a global crisis and guests dry up, those partnerships are the backbone of getting through the mountain and moving quickly onto the recovery.
At LC, our main ethos is to support the communities around us, work in partnership with local businesses, form two-way relationships with owners and share that sense of fairness with our guests too. We’re all stronger together and we can all offer one another something which ensures stability and security (at least as much security as can be at the moment).
It’s not just the future, it’s the way it should always have been and absolutely the way it has to be going forward to bring the industry back to where it belongs!
