The benefits of a staycation

If you’re considering booking a UK break for the first time this year, we understand. Nobody likes change too much, and it’s frustrating when you can’t get on with things the way you normally would. On the plus side, you’re about to discover just why so many Brits are still in love with the good old staycation.

Prepare to see the UK like you’ve never seen her before, filled with beauty and intrigue that’s right on our own doorstep. We reckon you’ll come back from your UK break wondering why you never took one sooner. So, here’s why you can’t beat a break right here in the sunny UK…

Less travel time

Far-flung holidays don’t exactly start on a relaxing note do they? A 5am departure and tense flight hoping your little monsters’ antics won’t turn too many heads isn’t quite the stress-free beginning to your week away from it all.

A UK break means you’re free to choose somewhere that’s as close (or as far) as you like, and all you have to do is pack the car, stock up on boiled sweets and take to the wide open road. A leisurely drive to your destination means you can take your time and make the journey part of the holiday…you can even plan in a picnic stop.

Something for everyone

There’s a holiday to suit everyone right here in the UK. You’ll have your pick of destinations covering everything from the unspoilt beauty of the Cornwall coast, to the rugged Dartmoor National Park in Devon and the rolling Mendip Hills in historic Somerset.

We think your holiday should be all about you. If you’re content to unroll your towel and plant yourself on the beach for the day, you’ll find hundreds of beautiful beaches with fantastic facilities to keep the whole family happy. And if your kids are at the age where they need a little adventure, just take your pick.

You can take your dog

Now this one’s a clincher. After all those lockdowns with the whole family it wouldn’t be right to pack your pet off while you enjoy a family break. Many of our beautiful UK properties welcome dogs with gusto. That means wherever you end up, you can make memories with your best friend.

Many of the South West’s beaches welcome dogs all year round, so if you do your research before you book your property you’ll be able to enjoy long sandy walks with your best friend. Just imagine how happy the kids will be when they realise the dog doesn’t have to stay behind this time…priceless.

We have hundreds of homes from home just waiting for you to arrive. Whether you’re planning a romantic escape for two, or a break for the whole family, it’s time to discover why the UK has it all.
