Day One

Morning

The brilliant Stokeley Farm Shop and courtyard is less than 5-minutes’ drive from Torcross. Enjoy a fresh breakfast followed by a spot of shopping. There are several lovely and local shops to peruse as well as a deli. Sometime during your stay, visit South Hams Brewery next door to the farm shop to sample their on-tap real ales and ciders.

Afternoon

Take a short drive (or a beautiful coastal walk) to the tiny neighbouring Beesands. Pick up takeaway fish and chips from the popular Britannia At The Beach then picnic on the pebbles with uninterrupted views across Start Bay.

Book a stay in Torcross

Head back to Torcross for a walk the 4.2 mile circular route around Slapton Ley, taking in picturesque views and birdlife. Or drive on to Kingsbridge for a SUP tour of the beautiful Salcombe Estuary with Waterborn.

Evening

Round off your day with an evening walk along the seafront – the perfect way to experience the sunset. Enjoy dinner at Start Bay Inn, before turning in for the night.

Day Two

Morning

Wander down to The Boathouse which sits right on the seafront, for breakfast with a view before hopping in the car and enjoying a scenic short drive to Dartmouth. Amble the pretty streets, browse the shops, or simply soak up the atmosphere beside the River Dart.

From here, cross over to Kingswear on the Dartmouth lower ferry – a short but lovely (and inexpensive) way to see Dartmouth Royal Naval College from the water. Lunch at the acclaimed  Steam Packet Inn overlooking the marina and river (about a 2-minute stroll from the ferry terminal).

Afternoon & Evening
A 10-minute drive away, Blackpool Sands is one of the prettiest beaches in Devon. Savour a seaside sauna followed by a saltwater swim. Dine on the terrace of the beachside restaurant and drink in the atmosphere and views.
