It’s almost the most wonderful time of the year, so you may be wondering what’s on in Cornwall at Christmas in 2026?

Well, lots! But we thought we’d start with the most magical of them all: Christmas lights and illuminations.

Christmas Lights and Illuminations in Cornwall

From pretty fishing villages made even more magical with their light displays, to gardens and their wonderfully lit trails, we’ve been on the lookout for some of the best Christmas lights and illuminations to enjoy around Cornwall.

Mousehole Harbour Lights

You simply can’t talk about Christmas lights in Cornwall without mentioning Mousehole! This little fishing village has been putting on its famous harbour illuminations since 1963, and it’s become a real Cornish Christmas tradition.

With around 60 displays and 7,000 lights illuminating the harbour, boats and surrounding buildings, it’s quite a sight once darkness falls. We’d suggest arriving just before dusk, having a little wander around the village and finding a good spot by the water.

Where? Mousehole Harbour
When? 10 December 2026 – 3 January 2027
