Buryas Bridge is conveniently situated on the A30, with easy access to Cornwall’s beautiful coastline (this does mean that road noise can be heard).
The collection is made up of four properties, each designed to offer a bespoke and comfortable experience. All four properties can be booked together for guest parties of ten. The property types include:
Beryas Cottage – a lovely stone cottage sleeping four guests
Poldu Shepherds Hut – sleeping two guests
Pedney Shepherds Hut – sleeping two guests
Porth Chapel Cabin – sleeping two guests
Dogs are warmly welcomed
A lovely welcome hamper of local treats is provided
All properties have private parking
Each has a fantastic private outdoor space with beautiful lush surrounding. Gas BBQs and outdoor furniture are provided making them perfect for sunshine relaxation
Each retreat in the collection has been thoughtfully designed to provide a unique and relaxing escape. Interiors are comfortable and well-equipped, with modern entertainment features such as Smart TVs.
Outside, each space is for private use and is enveloped by lush, subtropical greenery with outdoor lighting adding a magical ambience to the evenings. Gas BBQs, bistro sets, and seating areas make the gardens ideal for alfresco dining, sunshine lounging, or stargazing under the Cornish sky.
Buryas Bridge is perfectly positioned to explore nearby Mounts Bay as well as west Cornwall’s best seaside spots. Marazion and St Michael’s Mount is just eight minutes’ drive.
Newlyn which is five minutes away, offers excellent restaurants and a brilliant local art scene. Penzance is ten minutes’ drive and has its famous heated lido, fascinating architecture, and its flat sea view walk along the South West Coast Path to Marazion.
Mousehole is fifteen minutes away, and with its pretty Lamorna stone cottages, beautiful harbour, and lovely restaurants, it’s a must-visit location during your stay at Buryas Bridge. Porthcurno, thirty five minutes’ drive, flaunts one of the most stunning beaches in the UK, as well as offering the PK Porthcurno Museum, and the world-famous Minack Theatre.
The surrounding area is bursting with fabulous things to see and do. Just three minutes’ drive away are the lush gardens and tearoom at Trewidden House, as well as nearby Polgoon Vineyard and Orchards where you can wine taste or luncheon in the fresh air.
Trengwainton Garden, a National Trust property, is just ten minutes away and for a truly exciting adventure, guests can take the ferry from Penzance to the Scilly Isles and experience its Bahaman vegetation and beaches. St Ives with its cobbled streets and fabulous surfing beaches at Porthmeor and Porthminster is under thirty minutes’ drive, with Hayle and Gwithian just a tad further.
Buryas Bridge couldn’t be better placed to explore some of Cornwall’s best beaches. Marazion, with its big sandy beach and views of St Michael’s Mount, is just a 13-minute drive away.
Porthcurno’s aquamarine waters and cliff backdrop is approximately a 16-minute drive. Sennen Cove which is popular with surfers and beach lovers alike, can be reached in about 16 minutes by car. Long Rock is excellent for dog walking all year round and is around a 12-minute drive away.
For those preferring public transport, Buryas Bridge is well-served by local bus routes. The 1A bus connects Buryas Bridge to Penzance, providing easy access to the town and onward connections to various destinations. Additionally, the 8 bus route links Long Rock to St Just, passing through St Buryan, offering further options for exploring the area.
