Staying at Zinc Apartments, Newquay

For the surfers

The surf capital of Cornwall, Newquay boasts some of the finest beaches in the county with possibly it’s best-known being that of Fistral Beach. With a break that works in most conditions but especially good when a south easterly is blowing, it draws surfers from all over the country and is popular at all times of the year. Not only good for boarders though, Fistral and its neighbouring counterparts are also terrific for family-friendly beach days where visitors can paddle the shallows, explore rockpools, build sandcastles and sunbathe to their hearts’ content.

Perfectly positioned within a short stroll from Fistral, Zinc is exactly the place you’ll want to base yourself during your time exploring Newquay and its surrounding areas. If you’re a golfer, you’ll love the fact that Newquay Golf Course is less than 5 minutes’ walk away, so you can take on its fantastic 18 holes as early as you fancy before hitting the beach for some serious relaxation.

For the whole family

Also on your doorstep is the South West Coast Path which picks up the route around the Headland and along Fistral. This is a lovely way to get outdoors with the whole family and your four-legged companions as the views over the Atlantic are exceptional. And speaking of views, the apartments at Zinc boast some of the best. Private balconies and full height glass have been designed to allow guests to make the most of the panoramas so you can check out the surf from the comfort of your home before deciding how to while your day away.

Each apartment has open plan living / dining with well-equipped kitchens, light-filled bedrooms and modern bathrooms. Of course, you get your own parking space too as well as surfboard storage, and for added convenience there is lift access to all floors.

Newquay’s harbour is within easy reach, as is the town centre, where a fantastic array of shops, cafes and restaurants can be found. Bush Pepper, The Harbour Fish and Grill Restaurant and 12 Beach Road are all worth popping into for a bite but if you like your dinner with a view you won’t find better than Michelin rated The Fish House Fistral or Sea Spray.
