Situated in the upmarket village of Lelant and a mere eight minutes walk from the spectacular sands of Porthkidney Beach, this stylish apartment is just the place you’ll want to spend time with family and friends when holidaying on the coast of west Cornwall. In a fantastic position to enjoy not only one of the area’s best beaches but also within easy reach of St Ives and Hayle, this luxury property offers guests a beautiful base from which to explore, and with one of the county’s most attractive stretches of coastline on its doorstep, days are set to be as laid-back or as energetic as you wish.

Inside, the contemporary furnishings and airy space combine to create a relaxation-inducing atmosphere, where two gorgeous bedrooms (one of which is en-suite) provide four guests with ample room to get comfy. There’s a wonderful open plan living/ dining area for unwinding in and a fully equipped modern kitchen to help you whip up home cooked meals with ease. Beautifully laid out and with plenty of luxurious space for all, there are sumptuous sofas to kick back on, one of which is a sofa bed and delightfully comfortable beds to sink into, with a chill-out area/ TV room the perfect spot for both children and adults to enjoy time apart.

With its miles of golden sand and clear water, Porthkidney Beach which lies at the mouth of the Hayle Estuary, is just a short stroll from the property and here guests will discover a wonderful place to enjoy beach strolls or water sports all year round. The nearby towns of St Ives, Penzance and Marazion also offer a host of family-friendly attractions that include wildlife parks, sculpture gardens and geographical landmarks.

The iconic West Cornwall Golf Club (which is the oldest in the duchy) is just two minutes' walk from the property. This is a testing seaside course so probably not the best option if you’re a beginner, however for those with some experience it’s said to be challenging and fun in equal measure. The course itself has a few quirky holes (laid out around the church) and is wonderfully natural, with its elevated location providing magical views across the St Ives Bay, and to the Atlantic Ocean beyond.     Security Deposit: We ask our guests for a £150 good housekeeping bond, which is pre-authorised against your card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved (held as a pending transaction) and then released afterwards if there is no damage or additional cleaning. This will be held on the card on file 7 days prior to your arrival.
    Pets: 2 pets allowed, £25 per pet per week, in line with our house rules we do ask that pets are not left alone in the property, do not use the furniture or go in the upstairs/bedroom areas

    Linen & Towels: Bed linen is provided for your stay. Each guest will be supplied with one hand towel and one bath towel for their stay. (if your holiday is longer than 10 days, please contact the Luxury Coastal team to discuss a mid-stay linen change)
    Wi-Fi: This property offers free Wi-Fi for guests, however, we cannot guarantee the speed and connectivity. Therefore, if you are planning to work during your holiday, we recommend bringing a wifi dongle.

    Smoking: All of our properties are non-smoking and we ask that any party member who smokes, do so off the premises.

    This light-filled room has sea views and is beautifully furnished with contemporary cobalt blue velvet sofas, one being a sofa bed as well as a TV stand with flat screen TV with Freeview, a floor lamp, coffee table and rug.

    Open plan with the lounge / dining area the kitchen is offers plenty of storage as well as ample worktop space. It features a gas range oven with grill, gas hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer. Other equipment includes a blender / mixer, cafetiere, Bosch Tassimo coffee machine, iron / ironing board, kettle and toaster. A range of crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils are provided

    Incorporated into the living room the dining area has a sideboard and a large dining table with plush cobalt blue velvet dining chairs seating eight guests

    The master suite features its own bathroom and is furnished with a double bed, a bedside tables and lamp, dressing table, mirror, stand-alone wardrobe and chest of drawers

Could be better

The apartment was a bit disappointing with really uncomfortable beds,things broken or not working and rooms needing a good clean in a few areas. It could be a really nice place but needs a bit of TLC and mainly the bedrooms sorting out.

Mattresses are awful

Lovely property, fantastic location. Perfect for our family and dog EXCEPT; The mattresses were terrible. I mean you could feel every metal coil on the twin beds in one bedroom and not much better in the other bedroom on the double bed. Gave me a bad neck as because the pillows were bad as well. Such a shame. We would like to come back but not until we know that these issues are addressed. Really can't understand why such a lovely property would have such poor mattresses. In the comments book in the property, literally every. guest has been raising the issue about the mattresses well over a year and still not been addressed

A short stay for my birthday just for Christmas

We had a wonderful stay at Porthkidney. Perfect location and close to beach and st Ives. The house was beautifully furnished and clean throughout. Only thing we’d have changed is the comfort of the bed. Something a little comfier for a good nights sleep would have made this holiday perfect. Other than that no faults with anything else. Perfect
