Hornbeam Lodge, like Heron and Snowdrop, is perfect for all year-round holidays in this glorious part of Devon. This brand-new stylish lodge sleeps up to six guests in three spacious and comfortable bedrooms.

The whole family can enjoy Hornbeam Lodge with space for everyone. As well as a stunning master bedroom with luxurious ensuite bathroom, the lodge also has a double and twin bedroom, and a large spacious family bathroom.

The stunning living space is modern, bright and airy, with views out over woodland and Roadford Lake. Furnished and equipped to the highest standards, the lodge offers modern comfort and space for a couple, a family or friends to enjoy. Children are very welcome and a high chair and travel cot are available for family guests to use. Equally welcome is a well-behaved family dog, with water and food bowls in the lodge if needed.

Hornbeam Lodge, with its private parking for two cars, large patio and private hot tub, is nestled in a spacious spot in the exclusive gated Roadford Lake Lodges Park, surrounded by professionally landscaped gardens. Hornbeam, like all our lodges, is just a couple of minutes’ walk away from the Park’s great amenities, such as the gymnasium, the dog wash and the EV charging bay.

And equally close is the spectacular Roadford Lake, with its woodland bursting with birds and wildlife. Woodland trails, the Roadford Lake Café and the amazing craft designed children’s play area are all on your doorstep.

Security Deposit: We ask our guests for a £150 good housekeeping bond, which is pre-authorised against your card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved (held as a pending transaction) and then released afterwards if there is no damage or additional cleaning. This will be held on the card on file 7 days prior to your arrival.
Pets: 2 pets allowed, £25 per pet per week (no cats please), in line with our house rules we do ask that pets are not left alone in the property, do not use the furniture or go in the upstairs/bedroom areas

Linen & Towels: Bed linen is provided for your stay, however, if you require use of the travel cot you will need to bring your own cot linen. Each guest will be supplied with one hand towel and one bath towel for their stay. (if your holiday is longer than 10 days, please contact the Luxury Coastal team to discuss a mid-stay linen change)
Wi-Fi: This property offers free Wi-Fi for guests, however, we cannot guarantee the speed and connectivity. Therefore, if you are planning to work during your holiday, we recommend bringing a wifi dongle.
Hot Tub: Electric
Smoking: All of our properties are non-smoking and we ask that any party member who smokes, do so off the premises.
Property surroundings: The resort caters for couples and families looking for a relaxing holiday in the Devon lakeside setting. It’s also perfect for gatherings making the most of the on lake activities that are available on Roadford Lake.

The beautiful modern kitchen is open plan with the living / dining area and has a large electric range oven, five-ringed gas hob, microwave oven, toaster, kettle and all the pans, dishes and utensils you need
There's a modern fitted dishwasher and washing machine, together with a fridge, freezer and wine fridge. Also provided are a teapot, a cafetiere and a moka express stovetop coffee maker
The lodge provides a full range of crockery and cutlery, and plastic ‘glasses’ for enjoying a drink outside. Plastic baby plates, cups and cutlery are also available, as well as a dog bowl

*An iron and ironing board can be found in the Master Bedroom's wardrobe

In the dining room a large extendable dining table and comfy chairs allows you to seat up to eight comfortably for a meal with family or friends

This beautiful master suite has a king size-bed, with two bedside tables and lamps, and fitted cupboards
Double sliding doors open onto the patio
Other features include a wall mounted Smart TV and remote-controlled tower fan, and a hairdryer is provided
This bedroom has a lovely ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower, electric towel rail, lighted cabinet mirror and under sink cabinet

Bedroom Two
With views across woodland and the lake, a second double room has a double bed, two bedside tables and lamps
It has plenty of storage and hanging space in the fitted wardrobes. A wall-mounted Smart TV and remote-control tower fan are provided for your relaxation and comfort

Bedroom Three
The third bedroom, also enjoying views across the woodland and lake, has two single twin beds each with its own bedside table and lamp
As with the other rooms there is plenty of storage and hanging space in the fitted wardrobes
This bedroom also has a wall mounted Smart TV and remote-control tower fan
*The property's highchair and travel cot are stowed in the fitted wardrobe
Bathrooms
Guests can order a spa pack of towelling robes and slippers as an optional extra (please contact our bookings team for more information)

Across the hall from the double and twin bedrooms is the large, spacious family bathroom with a large family bath and shower attachment, extensive fitted cupboards, and a large electric towel rail, basin, cabinet with lighted mirror and WC

Leading from the bedroom is the lovely ensuite bathroom with a glorious walk-in shower.
Fitted with an electric towel rail, hand basin, WC, lighted cabinet mirror and under sink cabinet, plenty of hanging space and storage
Outside
The large south facing patio runs the full length of the lodge and is opened onto by sliding patio doors from the dining room and the master bedroom
Furnished with outdoor chairs, tables, parasol and BBQ
The BBQ stand can fit two disposable BBQs at a time and BBQ utensils are provided
The hot tub is heated all year round and has a wooden panelling surround to ensure privacy
Parking
Hornbeams private double-parking bay is conveniently located close to the front door of the lodge
There are a limited number of additional visitor parking spaces outside reception, on a first come first serve basis

EV Charger Point
The site has two EV charging points for guest use, situated along from reception in two designated parking spaces
The EV charging point is by VendElectric, and charging will have associated costs as normal via their app
We kindly ask that once your vehicle is charged, that you park in your lodge car parking space to ensure the EV spaces are free for other guests on the site

Nice Lodge. Not Much to Offer on Site

The lodge itself was very clean and had all the utilities we needed. The site is small but well maintained. However, I was quite disappointed that the hot tub was next to the road with no privacy which wasnt clear on the booking details. Apart from a small gym there are no amenities onsite, I wouldnt normally mind if we were close to a village/town but the nearest shop was a good drive away. Plus, we wanted activities for the children to do (which is why we booked this place for Easter as they had advertised activities) but on exploring, there were none happening on the lake or surrounding area. we also brought bikes to cycle but the woods behind are a cycle free zone so we werent able to use them which again was a bit misleading from the brochure, and with the site being in a location not suitable for any safe family road cycling this was also disappointing. If youre looking for something that is clean and quiet this is the place but if you want some family activities then I wouldnt return on this basis.

Relaxing stay at Roadford Lodges

We booked into Hornbeam at short notice and was not disappointed. The lodge is very modern, comfortable and has everything needed for a relaxing stay. The location is quiet and very convenient being on the edge of Devon and Cornwall. The hot tub is a great addition which we used most evenings. The welcome basket was very much appreciated after a long Friday evening trip down the M5, as was the self check in process which allowed us to check in at our convenience. The communication we received prior to arrival was comprehensive and easy to understand. We stayed at Hornbeam as a family of 5 with our dog. The lodge is a great size, the kitchen is spacious and the dining table was large enough for us all to eat and play games around. We would highly recommend Roadford Lodges to anyone looking for a relaxing, quiet stay.

Fabulous location if you want a completely relaxing holiday

Beautiful lodge on a small park, very well equipped and very comfortable. I like the fact the lodges are not on top of each other with plenty of space in between, the hot tub is a fabulous end to a day. It's a little out of the way but very relaxing. I personally think the hot tub could do with a little more privacy but its a minor point and we would book again, especially as we could take our dog with us

Hidden away bit of luxury

Perfect base in a good location to explore Devon and Cornwall but with a luxurious feel. Clean, well equipped lodge which has been finished to a great quality. Hot tub a bonus as was the gym. Great to have the lake on the doorstep too for walks and runs.

Great Stay At Hornbeam

What a lovely lodge, clean, modern and everything looking pristine as in the photos. The kitchen was very well equipped with a dishwasher, washer dryer, wine fridge, fridge, freezer, range cooker and microwave. The beds are super comfy and a great power shower. The hot tub was very a very nice addition. We liked the position of the lodge, just a five minute walk from the lake. The only downside for us was the long drive to the coast, and we booked for over a week, but our fault for not checking the location out. We would definitely stay again, maybe for a shorter stay. I would say this is the nicest accommodation we have ever booked.

Lovely lodge

Hornbeam Lodge is lovely. Very clean and well equipped with lots of helpful information provided. The hot tub is a great addition and we spent lots of time using it. The location is great and we enjoyed some nice walks around the lake. The onsite cafe serves really good food and is reasonably priced. We had a fabulous holiday (helped by the good weather) and will definitely return. We would absolutely recommend a holiday at Roadford Lakes and in fact have already passed details to friends and family.

Lovely lodge

The lodge was absolutely lovely and super clean. The development is quite new so the foliage etc needs to grow a bit to give you a bit more privacy. Easy check in/out via lock box. The hot tub was fantastic and the gym was a bonus. Location good, close to a lake, childrens play area and nice cafe. Good access to Cornwall. Also very good set up for our dog. Unfortunately we had bad weather but luckily we had a lovely lodge to chill in and watch the weather roll past!
