Every inch the family-friendly escape, this beautiful pond-side lodge sits right in the heart of the Devonshire countryside just back from one of the county’s most scenic lakes. There’s a tastefully styled open-plan living area which opens out to a private veranda, four splendid bedrooms (including a master en-suite) and of course, that all-important private hot tub for soaking the hours away.

An outdoor dining suite on the terrace means you can make the most of warm, sunny days while inside, the stylish fitted kitchen will make cooking for the clan a pleasure. Floor to ceiling windows fill the living space with light, and you’ll love the addition of a log-effect electric fireplace which adds a cosy feel to cooler evenings. On days when you’re not out exploring the lake and its scenery, you can laze in the sumptuous living room with a good book or magazine, and if it’s BBQ weather you’ll be able to fling open the patio doors and enjoy that all-important indoor / outdoor entertaining. Maple Lodge has a modern décor throughout and features a range of amenities including a large flat screen TV for movie nights in with the whole family.

Being just 100m from the water, the Roadford Lake Lodges resort is all about lakeside living. Surrounded by numerous walking and biking trails, it’s an outdoor adventurer’s dream. The nearby water sports centre is where you'll be able to windsurf, SUP, kayak and sail and there’s also a play park and cafe just a stone's throw away.

* This property caters beautifully to families with young children in tow. A range of baby and toddler-friendly items are provided on request that include a cot, potty, toys, child toilet seats, microwave steriliser, high chair, children’s plates, cups and cutlery

* Two high quality metal bike storage boxes are available on request for £20 per box. Each box can store up to 4 bikes. The dimensions of each box are as follows: Internal height at rear 4ft 4, internal height at front 3ft 8, internal depth 3 foot and internal width 6ft 5.

*Please note that the pond is surrounded by a fence for safety

Security Deposit: We ask our guests for a £450 good housekeeping bond, which is pre-authorised against your card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved (held as a pending transaction) and then released afterwards if there is no damage or additional cleaning. This will be held on the card on file 7 days prior to your arrival.
Pets: No pets allowed
Number of steps: 2 small external access steps. For guests who require step-free access, a ramp from the parking space takes you to the front door of the lodge
Type of heating: Central heating
Linen & Towels: Bed linen is provided for your stay, however, if you require use of the travel cot you will need to bring your own cot linen. Each guest will be supplied with one hand towel and one bath towel for their stay. (if your holiday is longer than 10 days, please contact the Luxury Coastal team to discuss a mid-stay linen change)
Wi-Fi: This property offers free Wi-Fi for guests, however, we cannot guarantee the speed and connectivity. Therefore, if you are planning to work during your holiday, we recommend bringing a wifi dongle.
Hot Tub: Electric
Smoking: All of our properties are non-smoking and we ask that any party member who smokes, do so off the premises.

The lodge has parking for two to three cars in an allocated space at the front of your lodge.
There are a limited number of additional visitor parking spaces outside reception, on a first come first serve basis

EV Charger Point
The site has two EV charging points for guest use, situated along from reception in two designated parking spaces. The EV charging point is by VendElectric, and charging will have associated costs as normal via their app. We kindly ask that once your vehicle is charged, that you park in your lodge car parking space to ensure the EV spaces are free for other guests on the site

Roadford Lake Lodges is a resort that caters for couples and families looking for a relaxing holiday in the Devon lakeside setting. It’s also perfect for gatherings making the most of the on lake activities that are available on Roadford Lake. It’s not suitable for party groups. If your booking falls outside either of these groups, please get in touch before making your booking to discuss your requirements.

Lovely family stay

Can't fault the property itself, it felt like a home from home and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Maple lodge. My only issue was around the site infrastructure in particular the ev charge points. There were only 2, one of these was out of action for our entire stay and I frequently found the same car parked at the other one preventing others charging their vehicles. I feel this needs closer monitoring by the on-site management and upgrading to a rapid charger. We found the lakeside cafe very good and we found some lovely places to eat nearby.

Maple Lodge what a gem

This is the second time at Roadford Lakes but our first time at Maple Lodge. The Lodge was very comfortable, very clean and in a lovely position beside a small pond with ducks (was a little worried thinking there would be lots of flies but no need) which gave us a lot of pleasure. The owners of the Lodge met us on arrival and made us so welcome. Would definitely recommend this as a good base to visit Devon & Cornwall. No doubt we will be back. Thank you again for a lovely few days away.

We loved our stay at Maple Lodge; Isabelle was a wonderful host who made sure everything was perfect. The lodge is nice a spacious and warm and is very nicely situated within the Roadford Lodge park. It's lovely to have a cup of coffee in the morning watching the ducks swim in their pond outside. Beds were comfy, kitchen was well appointed (we catered a family Sunday lunch for 10 with no problems) and there is a large and comfy living and dining area. All in all a really great place to stay!

Excellent second stay in Maple

This was our second visit to Maple Lodge and it was just as spotless, well equipped and comfortable as the first time. The duck pond is a lovely sauce of entertainment and the hot tub was always in use! We will be back next year!

Mable lodge, was amazing.The special touches from the host made us feel special. The location of the lodge was excellent, every morning looking out at the pond, when having breakfast. The lodge had everything you needed plus more. We made special memories with are family. We would definitely book this lodge again.

This place is beautiful, the decor is to a very high standard. Everything we could possibly need was available during our stay. The eldest kids used the gym on site which they loved, why i took the little one to the park an cafe for cake and hot chocolate. Hot tub was a bonus! The lodge was immaculate, beds comfy and plenty of space and a good choice of games for evenings in with the family. We loved this place and only wish we could have stayed longer, i would definitely return.
