Set a few metres back from the sea front, this former coach building has been renovated to a high standard and incorporates original features that nod to its humble past. Combined with cool, contemporary touches as well as luxury fittings and furnishings, the mixing of old and new, historic and contemporary; creates a beautiful space to relax in and enjoy.

Accommodating four guests, this home has two spacious bedrooms with the master bedroom being located on the ground floor. Elegantly furnished with a king size bed, the room has adjustable lighting as well as an inviting fabric covered armchair and accompanying footstool; perfect for a quiet read or catching up on a crossword. A large window is set back into the thick stone wall inviting plenty of sunlight in, while a contemporary en-suite shower room adds further luxuriousness. Upstairs, the second bedroom has a bright and airy atmosphere. Didn't disappoint had a. Lovely stay as always, only.downside had to inform Luxury Coastal that there was no fob for garage door as didn't want to get charged for it which they sorted but wasn't very easy climbing over car bonnet after closing door.

Stephen, 20 Sep 2024

Hi Stephen, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and thank you for your feedback! We’re glad to hear that you had a lovely stay as always. We apologize for the inconvenience with the garage door fob and appreciate you informing Luxury Coastal about it. We’re happy they were able to sort it out, though we understand it wasn’t ideal having to climb over the car bonnet. We’ll look into this to ensure a smoother experience for future guests. We hope to welcome you back again soon! Best wishes, The Luxury Coastal Team

Beautiful, unspoiled area to stay in, good transport links
4.3/5

We found the property to be quite comfortable, and being fortunate to experience some warmer weather during our stay appreciated the main bedroom being downstairs, and thus cooler than upstairs which became quite warm at times. We made use of the bus service around the corner to get to other towns, since we didn't fancy tackling the tiny lanes on a daily basis! We spent time down at the nature reserve, spotting an unusual visitor to the area, a Eurasian widgeon, which seemed to have damage to its flight feathers. Crossing over the road, we could walk by the beach. We enjoyed great fish and chips at the Start Bay Inn, a lovely breakfast at the Boathouse, delicious cake and coffee at the Billy Can, and Sunday lunch at the Cricket Inn in nearby Beesands. The local farm shop was handy for food, and there are craft stalls there too. We appreciate a quiet area to stay in, and somewhere to enjoy a meal and a drink in walkable distance, and this lovely property gave us just that. Rooms were an excellent size, and the shower was fabulous. It was quite novel to have a garage to park in! Thank you for a very comfortable stay.

It’s great that you made use of the convenient bus service and had the chance to explore the nature reserve and nearby beach. We’re glad you enjoyed the local dining options and found the farm shop handy. It’s wonderful to know that the property provided a quiet and relaxing stay with everything you needed within walking distance. Thank you for choosing to stay with us, and we hope to welcome you back for another comfortable stay in the future! Best wishes, The Luxury Coastal Team

Mon to Fri short break
4/5

Barn is excellent close to beach and has parking a bonus (only problem no fob for garage door so had to climb over car bonnet so as to get out after using control inside) everything thing you need to use in kitchen etc. Only really bad thing was South Western Water working in main carpark from 6pm till 7am on one night horrendous so no sleep at all would have been nice to have been better informed as to what would have been going on instead of after our arrival as may have not bothered going

Stephen, 24 May 2024

Hi Stephen, Thank you for sharing your experience at the Barn! It is great to hear that the Barn is close to the beach and offers parking as a bonus. Proximity to the beach is always a plus. Thank you for passing over the feedback regarding the fob for the garage door and we apologise you needed to climb over your car bonnet. Having everything you need in the kitchen is essential for a comfortable stay. The disruption caused by South Western Water working in the main car park from 6 pm till 7 am must have been quite challenging, we did inform you when we were made aware of this and unfortunately it is something that is out of our control. We do apologise you could not sleep, a night without sleep can be tough, especially when you’re expecting a peaceful stay. We hope to welcome you back in the future to enjoy a more relaxing stay. Best wishes, The Luxury Coastal Team
