Recently refurbished, Vickery's Cottage is a tastefully styled, bright and welcoming holiday home with two double bedrooms, a lovely open plan living room which opens out to the garden, a well-equipped kitchen, family bathroom and downstairs cloakroom.

Perfect for all seasons, the cottage has a log burner to keep things warm and cosy in the cooler months, and when the sun is shining there’s a fantastic enclosed garden with decking, a BBQ and outdoor furniture where guests can dine or relax in the sunshine before heading off to explore the surrounding area. Arranged over two floors, both bedrooms can be found upstairs and include a master with king size bed, and a twin bedroom with two single beds.

Woodbury is a pretty village in East Devon not far from the historic city of Exeter and the stunning Exe Estuary with its ancient port of Topsham. Nearby too is Exmouth, known as the gateway to the Jurassic Coast, where a sandy beach is perfect for sunbathing or building sandcastles. Further along the coast, Budleigh Salterton, with its pebbly beach, lies at the mouth of the River Otter, a Site of Special Scientific Interest with a range of intertidal habitats including saltmarsh and tidal creeks.

The village lies at the foot of Woodbury Common which forms part of the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and offers vast open countryside for cycling, hiking and dog walks. There are two popular pubs namely the Maltsters Arms and The White Hart as well as a takeaway, and the village stores and post office where you can stock up on a range of goodies during your stay. The rugged beauty of Dartmoor’s tors lie only half an hour’s drive away and here you’ll discover a diversely beautiful landscape to explore, as well as many wonderful pubs for enjoying a hearty breakfast or Sunday roast. Golf enthusiasts can enjoy a round at nearby Woodbury Park Golf and Country Club.

    Security Deposit: We ask our guests for a £150 good housekeeping bond, which is pre-authorised against your card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved (held as a pending transaction) and then released afterwards if there is no damage or additional cleaning. This will be held on the card on file 7 days prior to your arrival.
    Pets: 1 small dog allowed, £25 per pet per week, in line with our house rules we do ask that pets are not left alone in the property, do not use the furniture or go in the upstairs/bedroom areas
    Number of steps: 5 steps into the property but there is also a ramp, 1 flight of internal stairs
    Type of heating: Gas central heating
    Linen & Towels: Bed linen is provided for your stay, however, if you require use of the travel cot you will need to bring your own cot linen. Each guest will be supplied with one hand towel and one bath towel for their stay. (If your holiday is longer than 10 days, please contact the Luxury Coastal team to discuss a mid-stay linen change)
    Travel cot and highchair: These are in the property, if you require these please let Luxury Coastal know at the time of booking
    Wi-Fi: This property offers free Wi-Fi for guests, however, we cannot guarantee the speed and connectivity. Therefore, if you are planning to work during your holiday, we recommend bringing a Wi-Fi dongle.
    Wood Burner: Enough wood for the first fire is provided
    Coffee Machine: Cafetiere
    Smoking: All of our properties are non-smoking and we ask that any party member who smokes, do so off the premises.

    *A starter pack of charcoal is provided so guests will need to bring extra

    Parking for one car in an allocated space at the front of the property. On street parking is available in the area on a first come first served basis and there is free parking a couple of minutes' walk away in Flower Street car park (2m height restriction) with a maximum stay of 23 hours in any 24 hour period
