Transparency, fairness, and respect have always been at the core of what we do so we’re very proud to have recently received our B Corp™ certification.
Since 2019, when we started our journey as a small, independent holiday letting agency, we’ve been passionate about being a force for good and doing the right thing not only by our guests, owners, and team, but also by our communities, so we feel privileged to join a special community of businesses that share our passion for both people and the environment.
B Corp is a voluntary certification that’s available to any company in any sector. The ‘B’ stands for ‘Benefit for All’, so B Corps are rigorously checked by an independent non-profit called B Lab and are only certified if they meet very high standards of transparency, social values and their positive environmental impact.
As a certified B Corporation, we’re proud to be part of a community of companies working together for change and taking part in collective action to advocate for a shared goal of a global economy that benefits people and the planet.
There are over 6,000 B Corps currently certified in the world, including local businesses like DryRobe, Rodda’s, Riverford Organic Farmers, Red Paddle, St Eval and Finisterre.
To become a certified B Corp, a company must achieve a minimum of 80 points after completing a Business Impact Assessment. It has taken us two years to work our way through the assessment, so we are thrilled to have been certified with an impact score of 86.4

The Business Impact Assessment helped us take our thinking a step further by delving into all aspects of our business, considering what we do, why we do it and how we can improve.
Our score shows that Luxury Coastal meets B Lab’s integrated social, environmental, and governance standards:
– We’re transparent and accountable for our impact and adapt our practices to reflect evolving social and environmental issues—aligning with consumer demands and values.
– We create a workplace where all employees can thrive, through quality jobs and positive workplace culture, and are committed to an inclusive workplace and embedding equity and justice into how we operate.
– We treat people with dignity and respect human rights, taking due diligence seriously on how our business and operations impact people.
– We collaborate with others in our community to make a positive impact and drive systemic change—beyond what we could achieve alone.
– We’re committed to understanding our environmental impact, including taking action to address negative impacts in order to contribute to an economy that preserves our natural resources.
– We live by a clear and meaningful purpose that promotes a positive social and environmental impact and considers the interests of all stakeholders—not just shareholders.
Becoming a Certified B Corporation™ is just the beginning, which means our work doesn’t stop here. We continue to learn from other B Corps to evolve the way we do things. We stay accountable, improve and grow – all with the intent to ‘Benefit’ our employees, customers, communities and planet.
