The enchanting gardens are a sight to behold. Manicured lawns stretch out to reveal an array of trees and flowerbeds bursting with colour in the summer months. Young and old will enjoy exploring the wild woodland where you can pick fruit from the branches above and berries from nearby hedges. You can also collect eggs to add to a leisurely brunch best served al-fresco.
And at the end of a busy day, what better way to spend your evenings than surrounded by stars in the tranquil outdoor hot tub.
The Dairy House is surrounded by private parkland that forms part of the stunning Dillington Estate, a 3000 acre working farm and countryside estate. You can explore your surroundings with leisurely walks and there are plenty of country pubs to fall into for a taste of the region.

Pets: 3 pets allowed, £25 per pet per week, in line with our house rules we do ask that pets are not left alone in the property, do not use the furniture or go in the upstairs/bedroom areas
Number of steps: Some doorways have slightly raised steps and there is one internal stair case.
Type of heating: Central heating
Linen & Towels: Bed linen is provided for your stay, however, if you require use of the travel cot you will need to bring your own cot linen. Each guest will be supplied with one hand towel and one bath towel for their stay. (if your holiday is longer than 10 days, please contact the Luxury Coastal team to discuss a mid-stay linen change)
Wi-Fi: This property offers free Wi-Fi for guests, however, we cannot guarantee the speed and connectivity. Therefore, if you are planning to work during your holiday, we recommend bringing a wifi dongle.
Wood Burner: Kindling and logs are provided for the wood burner, additional logs are stored in outdoor area. Free to use if needed.

Smoking: All of our properties are non-smoking and we ask that any party member who smokes, do so off the premises.
Property surroundings: The owner lives on site. The garden is enclosed. There is a cattle grid and a gate, but the gate is usually left open. Although the garden is enclosed it isn't dog proof so if a dog is prone to wandering off then it could find a way out…but there is also a secure area of the garden as well, designed for chickens rather than dogs, but pretty secure! The house is also surrounded by the parkland of Dillington Park, and so a great spot for walking dogs too.Mature garden with lawn and fruit trees (guest are welcome to pick fruit when in season) Private wooded area to the back of the garden. Chicken coop in the orchard (guests are welcome to collect their own eggs)

We ask our guests for a £500 security deposit, pre-authorised against your credit card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved and then released afterwards if there is no damage. We will contact you nearer the time of your arrival to arrange this.

A really special property in a beautiful place

My family and I had the most wonderful stay at The Dairy House. The house is thoroughly equipped, superbly comfortable, and in the most gorgeous setting. There were plenty of terrific countryside walks to enjoy right on the doorstep, as well as a handful of excellent pubs within 15 minutes' drive. While you feel entirely private and in an isolated position, Ilminster with its tea shops and supermarket is a 5-minute drive.

A great house for a family reunion. Beautiful property and delightfully furnished with extensive gardens and a very popular hot tub. Loved by children and adults alike. Thoroughly recommended. The Dillington Estate office staff were very friendly and helpful.
