Each home is beautifully equipped and individually styled and furnished to offer guests comfort and relaxation for their Carbis Bay holiday. The properties have their own allocated parking, and access to a communal walkway and terrace which has wide views over the aquamarine waters and St Ives Bay coastline where you can enjoy sunbathing and sundowners.
Carbis Bay is a dream for those who love the coast. Golden sands and aquamarine waters are just a short stroll away: perfect for whiling away sunshine-filled days. Tots will enjoy sandcastle-building or splashing in the shallows, while older family members can look forward to swimming, stand up paddle boarding, or kayak safaris.
The renowned Carbis Bay Hotel sits right on the beach and offers its C-Bay Spa with a range of treatments, and a heated outdoor infinity swimming pool A 30-minute walk along the South West Coast Path leads to St Ives where more gorgeous beaches, fabulous restaurants, galleries and coffee shops await.
For the less-energetic, Carbis Bay’s single-track railway follows a dramatic path along the coast and offers visitors a unique vantage point of St Ives Bay and beyond.
Further up the coast, Porthkidney Sands is a beachcomber’s dream with miles of shore to explore – especially good for visitors with dogs as the beach welcomes canines all year round. Nearby, Hayle Estuary is a tranquil place for a walk and birdwatching, with Hayle Towans and Gwithian just a short drive along the coast. Here you’ll find Global Boarders – a well-known local surf school that offers lessons as well as equipment hire.
Start your day with a freshly brewed coffee or Full Cornish breakfast down at Deli & Deli on the beach, or if you don’t mind a 15-minute drive, head to Porthgwidden Beach Café in St Ives for stunning views.
Half a mile up the road from Compass Point, Carbis Bay, Romano’s authentic Italian deli serves delicious home-baked paninos (sandwiches) as well as fresh charcuterie meats, cheeses and other antipasti. At Carbis Bay Hotel on the beach, The Orangery Restaurant is a gorgeous spot for afternoon tea, while the hotel’s Walter’s on the Beach is fabulous for cocktails and dinner.
The Cornish Arms is under 5-minutes’ drive and is where you can enjoy an epic Sunday Roast, or for something even more casual, head to Becks Fish & Chips for a traditional seaside treat.
