While we wish our flip flops all the best as they head back up into the loft, and wave goodbye to long, warm days, there are plenty of reasons to look forward to the cooler months. October ushers in more weekend lie-ins as well as all those walks on the beach with our dogs that we’ve really missed.

In our Autumn Guide we share a few of our favourite places and products from Devon and Cornwall to help you (like us) enjoy this delightful time of the year.

Tasteful treasures

Forage in Bath, Somerset

Forage is a lifestyle business and was launched by owner and creator Nicola Loud in the Summer of 2015.

Her curated collection of beautiful, affordable & mostly unique pieces are sourced from her global travels and sha says: ‘I pride myself selling ethically produced products, heading directly to the source and seeing the process and love nothing better than to lose myself for hours treasure hunting in a dusty flea market often before the sun comes up’.

Her website is a veritable treasure trove and we’d love to add this gorgeous Harvest Stripe Neon cardigan to our Autumn wardrobe!

Beachside brunch

Sunset Surf Cafe in Gwithian, Cornwall

We love a blustery walk on the beach and one of our favourite places to head to is Gwithian in North Cornwall. Embodying the laid-back Cornish lifestyle to a tee, Sunset Surf Café which sits right opposite the beach is our go-to for fresh locally sourced food and a wicked sea view.

Try the soup of the day with toasted ciabatta or five bean nachos for a warming kick of chilli. If you’re an early-riser they serve up a mean brekkie too!
