Overview

Situated in a quieter corner of the village just a few yards back from the beach, Rosevean has been lovingly refurbished to create a tranquil and well-equipped space for family holidays, with all the delights of Marazion just a few minutes walk away.

Spacious living and dining areas, a well-equipped kitchen and three comfortable bedrooms mean the cottage can comfortably accommodate five guests, with sash windows, low beamed ceilings and exposed stone adding to its charm. The first floor features a light and bright living room with sea views and a multi-fuel stove; the perfect place to unwind in after days spent exploring the coast, while downstairs on ground level, meals can whipped up in the kitchen then shared in the separate dining room which too has a woodburner.

On the third floor above the living room, three bedrooms invite guests to get cosy and comfortable, with the double room showcasing views out to sea, and the twin room offering either two single beds or a super king size to suit all sleeping arrangements. There is a large family bathroom with bath and shower over. A separate shower room lies on the ground floor along with access out to a pretty courtyard garden. Here you can barbecue in the afternoons or simply relax in the sunshine while your dogs and children stretch their legs.

Ideally located near to the shops, beach and restaurants, Rosevean is close enough to walk into Marazion but far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet. Having its own parking is a real plus especially during the busier seasons, and with the coast path stretching all the way to Penzance along the seafront, you won’t need to drive very much during your stay.

Welcome to Marazion

Something about Marazion reminds us of a fairytale. With the enchanting sight of St Michaels Mount looming high above the sea and two shimmering sandy beaches, Marazion holidays are the ultimate escape from it all. The oldest town in Cornwall, this is a place of myth and legend, where ancient cottages perch on hillsides and the sound of laughter drifts from friendly pubs. The streets of the town favour quirky boutiques over chains, and the cafes don’t disappoint when it comes to fresh, local produce and hearty portions.

Great place to stay
5/5

Rosevean in good position to use buses which we did all week. It was great to have a car parking space. We were very comfortable. We had a few problems which were dealt with promptly. We would return but as we are both in our late eighties two flights of stairs a bit tiring but at least it kept my steps up. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

Maureen, 28 May 2026

Hi Maureen, Thank you very much for your review. We’re so pleased you had a comfortable stay at Rosevean and enjoyed its convenient location for using the buses. It’s great to hear the parking space was useful too. We appreciate your kind comments about how the few issues were handled, and we’re glad they were resolved quickly for you. We do hope to welcome you to stay with Luxury Coastal again in the future. Best wishes, The Luxury Coastal Team

A sense of disappointment
3.3/5

The property benefits from parking at the rear, but it is a tight squeeze and makes it difficult to use the gate to enter and exit the property. This means having to use the front door on occasion, which has seen better days and really needs replacing. It is set over 3 floors, with the lower floor and some of the middle floor served by combi boiler heating, with the remainder of the middle floor and the upper floor served by electric heaters. At times it was chilly and the combi boiler, apparently, had some pre-programmed heat settings but we could not tell and raised it with the management company, but nothing changed. The downstairs toilet seemed partially blocked and flushing could be be challenging. Again, this was raised with the management company, who simply poured drain cleaner down it! Most annoying is a noisy ceiling fan at the top of the stairs, outside all 3 bedrooms, which appears to run 24 hours a day and has no isolator switch. Once more, this was raised with the management company, who confused this with the bathroom fan..!! Overall, the property is in a good position and is ok, but needs a fair amount of work doing and for a property that is ok, the price is disappointing.

Michael, 14 May 2026

Hi Michael, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We’re pleased to hear you enjoyed the property’s location, which is one of its biggest advantages. As a historic period cottage in the heart of the village, it offers the benefit of being within easy walking distance of the beach and local shops, and having a designated parking space in Marazion is something we know is particularly valuable. The garden has recently been pruned to improve access to the secure off-road parking area and EV charger, although we appreciate it can still be a tighter space depending on vehicle size. The ceiling fan in the hallway is designed to run continuously at a very low, quiet level to help maintain airflow throughout the property. Regarding the heating and boiler, there is a detailed instruction guide available in the house welcome folder, and we will also add a shorter, quick-reference user guide during the owners next visit to make things even clearer for future guests. We’re sorry to hear that some aspects of your stay didn’t meet expectations and appreciate your feedback, as it helps us continue to improve both the property and the guest experience. Best wishes, The Luxury Coastal Team

Lovely well equipped house a short walk from the centre of Marazion
5/5

The house is really well placed just a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Marazion. The kitchen is well equipped with equipment and good appliances, and the rest of the house is comfortably furnished with nice materials. The ability to park a car on site and charge an EV for a fee at well below the cost of Public Charging is a real bonus. We visited in early Spring so were grateful that the owners ensured the house was well heated with the option of guests altering the temperature to suit. Very comfy place to stay in a lovely part of Cornwall. Recommended.

Christmas/New Year stay
4.7/5

We arrived to find that the property was set up for our break with few gifts and decorations up to make it feel like a festive break. The property was really clean and generally well maintained. It is in a good position within the village and a short walk to the few shops and also the beach. Parking for one car is a huge bonus and the pay and display car park for additional car, only a short walk away. We really enjoyed our stay. The property is well placed to travel to the many visitor places in the area, the main food shops (Sainsburys, Morrisons, Tesco etc) are a short 10 min drive away and Penzance is a few mins further. Having the beach just a short walk from the property is great and you can walk from the village towards Penzance (or as far as you wish) on either he beach or the costal path/pavement. Overall this is a good property for a family to enjoy the stay whilst in Cornwall and its many attractions. The house is well presented and although there are couple of narrow staircases up the the upper floors they were easy to use. Plus lots of areas that as a family we could use without being on top of each other.

Thank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed review. It’s wonderful to hear that your festive break got off to a warm start and that the little touches helped make your stay feel special. We’re delighted that you found the property clean, well?maintained, and perfectly placed for both village amenities and the beach. It’s great to know the location worked well for exploring the wider area too, with easy access to shops, Penzance, and the coastal paths. Having the beach just moments away really is one of the highlights, and we’re glad you were able to make the most of it. We also appreciate your comments about the layout and staircases. It’s lovely to hear that, despite the characterful narrow stairs, the house offered plenty of space for everyone to relax without feeling on top of one another. Thank you again for choosing to stay and for leaving such a lovely review. We hope to welcome you back for another Cornwall getaway. Best wishes, The Luxury Coastal Team.
