Step outside onto the decking and enjoy the views before slipping into that hot tub for some true time out. When you head back inside, the open plan living space makes a welcoming spot to cosy up in front of the log burner on a chilly day.

The impressive kitchen is enough to inspire even the most reluctant of cooks, and we can’t think of a better spot to dine al fresco than on the balcony while you soak up those views. Set just metres from the lake, Heron lodge makes any escape special. Back inside, and that king size bed in the master bedroom will make long lazy lie-ins all too tempting, and the second room has twin beds perfect for younger members of the clan. With a spacious feel throughout, Heron Lodge has a bright, airy design that makes it easy to unwind in between those days out exploring.

Nestled amidst six acres of landscaped woodland, Heron Lodge is all about getting close to nature and spending time together in style. Perched on the edge of three shimmering fishing lakes, this collection of lodges is popular with anglers – and fishing can be arranged for a small charge. For those of you keen to get out and about in the surrounding area during your stay, you’ll find it a haven for walkers, cyclists, golfers and horse riders.

Just a short drive from the historic city of Exeter, it’s the perfect base for those days out during your break too. Exeter’s home to a thriving foodie scene, the bustling Princesshay shopping centre, and a whole host of events to keep the whole family entertained. Visit Exeter Cathedral, or wander your way down to the cobbled streets of the quay, with its lively restaurants and waterside bars.

Linen & Towels: Bed linen is provided for your stay, however, if you require use of the travel cot you will need to bring your own cot linen. Each guest will be supplied with one hand towel and one bath towel for their stay. (if your holiday is longer than 10 days, please contact the Luxury Coastal team to discuss a mid-stay linen change)
Wi-Fi: This property offers free Wi-Fi for guests, however, we cannot guarantee the speed and connectivity. Therefore, if you are planning to work during your holiday, we recommend bringing a wifi dongle.

Lovely hot tub lodge

We were welcomed by the owner, she is extremely lovely and kind. She took time to show us round, explaining how to use the log burner and hot tub. We had an issue while there with the Wi-Fi not working and she responded to us straight away and sorted it for us very quickly. The lodge itself is beautiful and spacious. The hot tub is amazing, and the view across the lake is even more amazing. It is within driving distance of lots of places, and a supermarket to buy groceries. Overall an amazing stay away and we would definitely be coming back. Thankyou for a lovely stay away.
