This beautiful lodge is positioned overlooking a pond and has everything you need to enjoy a peaceful and thoroughly relaxing break in the Devon countryside. Two en suite bedrooms including a sumptuous master and a twin provide sleeping for up to four guests, with a sleek open plan living / dining area being perfect for afternoons of relaxation. A high spec kitchen is perfect for whipping up a few home cooked meals in and these can be enjoyed within either the chic dining area or on the large wraparound sun-deck complete with its own private hot tub.

Within the grounds of Kentisbury Grange guests will also discover The Coach House restaurant, where deliciously curated platters are perfect for celebrating a special occasion or for simply treating each other to a wonderful dining experience. This lodge is right by the restaurant so you can enjoy a delicious brunch then be back home within moments.

We ask our guests for a £100 Good Housekeeping Bond, pre-authorised against your credit card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved and then released afterward if there is no damage. We will contact you nearer the time of your arrival to arrange this. 
Alternatively, a one-off, nonrefundable Accidental Damage Waiver of £15 can be added to your booking to replace the Good Housekeeping Bond and can be added as an extra when processing your booking.

Linen & Towels: Bed linen is provided for your stay, however, if you require use of the travel cot you will need to bring your own cot linen. Each guest will be supplied with one hand towel and one bath towel for their stay. (if your holiday is longer than 10 days, please contact the Luxury Coastal team to discuss a mid-stay linen change)
Wi-Fi: This property offers free Wi-Fi for guests. In a recent speed test, the download speed was recorded at 30.3mbps and the upload speed 32.1mbps, as with all Wi-Fi networks we are unable to guarantee speed and connectivity.
Hot Tub: Electric hot tub
Smoking: All of our properties are non-smoking and we ask that any party member who smokes, do so off the premises.
Coffee Machine: Each lodge has a Lavazza coffee machine, including a coffee starter pack with 4 pods for the machine, 2 of them are decaf.

Was not the luxury we had hoped, tired lodge needs updating. Very quiet site, couldnt eat dinner at the restaurant all week as their kitchen was flooded. Good job we had a kitchen although shops too far away to pop out if we forgot something.

We arrived on a Friday early evening to find the property dirty and in need of a refurb in areas . The flooring throughout the living space needs replacing, the carpets need hoovering properly and cleaned . The sofas are stained and generally the place needs some TLC. The hot tub was freezing and did not work for 2 days and when they finally got it working the jets did not work properly. The decking is dangerous and needs fixing as lots of bits sticking up. We put our rubbish out and informed reception who said they would collect it in 10 minutes any hours later when we got home from being out, it was still there and unfortunately a rat had got inside the bag and I my wife had to cut it out! The bathrooms were immaculate but from the 4 TVs in the property only the living room one worked. Location and grounds were beautiful though

The lodge was set in a beautiful location, quiet and quite spacious. It was very clean and had more or less everything you would need for a stay. However, we did feel that there was maintenance that had not been carried out which detracted from the lodge quite a bit. There were missing panels on the blind, a missing curtain, damage to doors, flooring and the bedroom sliding cupboards were not in working condition. Mis - matched crockery and looked as though some things were missing, although we ate out so it was not a problem to us. Outside the umbrella was not in keeping with the location and pretty dirty to be honest. However the restaurant on the site served fantastic food and we were amazed at how lovely the staff were.

Beautiful lodge and setting slightly tired in some areas but did not detract from a lovely stay.

This lodge is beautifully situated and appointed it overlooks a small man made lake with a fountain and daily duck visits. It is incredibly peaceful and well laid out. As discussed in previous reviews some elements are becoming tired, with the flooring and door frames peeling in some places and the fire is not set up to actually work, which might be disappointing in colder times, if expecting a cosy ambience. Overall though a beautiful lodge and setting and despite these minor points, we will be booking and returning again. The roast the the coach house restaurant was amazing and out compliments go to the chef, despite some odd moans from nearby strange guest - Yorkshires too big?? They were phenomenal! Cannot wait to come back and hope it does not change with too many new lodges being added.

Disappointing for the cost.

We stayed at Kentisbury Grange in September 2024. We stayed in the berrynarbour lodge With a hot tub overlooking a Small lake. The Kentisbury Grange grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. The lodge was of good quality, but there are a few points which I thought was worth sharing. The lodge Was clean inside, but not outside. All of the windows were super dirty Which I know does not impact your holiday, but when youre surrounded by beautiful views but you have muddy windows its a bit annoying.. The hot tub cover was filthy when I put my hand In the handle to lift up the lid, it was caked in mud which was disgusting. They should also be more floor mats or rugs in the lodge as its all wooden floor or tiles making it super slippy As soon as you get out of the hot tub. The wooden floor is severely damaged in the lodge due to water damage. The lodge Did not have a smart TV, Only Freeview.. this is very outdated! We visited the coach house Hotel two afternoons. The staff were really really friendly and attentive but there is no music playing inside. Its super quiet and actually looks closed. We didnt really rate the food either, but that could be personal preference. Beautiful scenery around Kentisbury Grange but for a couple in our 30s with a baby there was just nothing at all to do. All local towns are very quiet. We visited ilfracombe Barnstable Linton and Lynmouth. I wouldnt return to this area. We were the only people on the high street in ilfracombe and Barnstaple at one point! Endless amounts of empty shops .. Overall - although the grounds and gorgeous, the amount we paid does not reflect the quality.

Really lovely place to stay

The lodge was excellent. A few cosmetic damages to doors and a crack on the ceramic hob, but other than that it was faultless. It was clean and tidy and provided the basic essentials. A few nice touches with the TV at the end of the bath being the standout. The grounds of the site were lovely, and the staff were incredibly nice and friendly. Would highly recommend the Coach House restaurant on site too.

This our 2nd time at Kentisbury Grange but 1st in Berrynarbor lovely lodge very modern has everything you need plus a hot tub. Our dogs love the open plan and folding doors out onto the deck. The outlook onto the pond and water fountain is lovely and relaxing we will be back again.

Expensive but worth it

Stayed for a week. Lodge was clean, comfortable and well supplied. It was showing its age slightly but that didnt detract from the enjoyable experience. The whole site is extremely dog friendly with sufficient area for basic walks. Plenty of attractions within reasonable distance.

Enjoyed a short stay at Berrynabor Lodge on the Kentisbury Grange estate. The lodge was well equipped and very spacious and has been designed and decorated to a high standard. The setting was beautiful and peaceful overlooking a large pond complete with fish and resident ducks! We enjoyed Sunday lunch in the coach house restaurant which was delicious and good value. I would definitely return for another visit and have already recommended to friends and family.

Unfortunately the lodges were not quite as good as the pictures shown We had doors needing replacing, blinds that were broken and a hob that was cracked. The wardrobe door was also off of its tracks. I will say we did not report any of these things as they seemed to have been like it a long time.

on entering Kentisbury grange the grounds are set in the beautiful North Devon countryside, landscaped gardens, lakes and plenty of wild life. As with most holidays since Covid late arrival and early departure requests take a day out of your break. We stayed in lodge 6 for 7 nights. Surprisingly due to covid we only got 1 towel each for the week and that towel had to also cover use of the Hot Tub. In addition no cleaning would take place also due to Covid. This is not five star service. Lodge 6 photo's are used on company literature and website however they were taken several years ago and in that time the lodge has been subjected to a very hard life and no longer can it be graced with 5 stars. Fold back doors by the Hot tub do not fold back, in both bedrooms the sliding doors seem to be off thier runners. The building gets very hot under the sun and no fans are supplied. A week before we arrived Luxury coastal promised that a sun shade would be supplied sadly that was not possible as a base could not be found. Plug in appliances revealed no sign of PAT testing. Fire extinguisher had no log of testing and worst of all the safety log of annual testing on the gas boiler was nowhere to be seen Sadly this once beautiful lodge has toppled from grace and currently is in need of a lot of TLC. Covid cannot be blamed for reductions in services and quality for ever and a day

I can guarantee that the electricals are PAT tested, all the details, along with the fire extinguisher and boilers logs, are kept up to date in the managers office and can be supplied when requested. There are lots of umbrellas on site so we would have been happy to replace the one you had. Mid-stay cleans are not industry standard and we do not offer these on stays that are 7 nights or less. Fabulous location. Lodge a little tired, but still good.

First of all, the location of our lodge (No.7) is fabulous with a beautiful view over a small lake which is shared with only one other lodge (6). Lodge layout is great - bright and very spacious. We encountered a few little niggles with the lodge but these were fixed on the day they were reported - so nothing detracted from the enjoyment of the holiday. Great support from Mary at Luxury Coastal and the lodge owners. The lodges are apparently going through a refresh programme so I'd expect them to be even better in future. We didn't try the on-site restaurant so can't comment on that.

Great lodge set in a beautiful rural location whilst still only being a 15min drive to the coast. Very well equipped & comfortable lodge set in lovely grounds. I found the only downside was certain aspects of the lodge looking a little tired & not cleaned to the best of standards. Only used the hot tub the once as the water seemed murky.

The lodge was big enough for our stay however needed modernisation in areas a lot of wear and tear. utensils in lodge were falling apart had to request a new ones! I feel the hot tub should have been cleaned a lot more, other places Ive stayed have cleaned the hot tub daily. staff all lovely, any issues they were on hand to sort. Great location and lovely affordable pub down the road.

The hot tubs on site do not require full daily cleaning and are designed to be more environmentally friendly, only requiring daily chemical checks to ensure the hot tub is both safe and available for our guests to use at all times. The site has confirmed that after the initial cleaning takes place for your arrival, they do have two staff members on site that check the hot tub levels every day and add any chemicals if needed, in line with BISHTA guidance. A seamless process from start to finish. We had a lovely stay and despite the weather made great use of the hot tub. Lovely lodge with probably the best outlook on the site. Very clean and extremely comfy beds. Enjoyed a great meal at The Coach House - very relaxed atmosphere and wonderful food (highly recommend the sea bass!).

We had a lovely stay over February half term with friends. The accommodation was comfy with everything you needed and the hot tub was a bonus. It was very quiet in the evenings even with other occupants there. Ideal location as well.

Highly recommend the hot tub lodges at Kentisbury grange. Sitting in the warm bubbles and sipping chilled bubbles while watching the stars is magical. I can't imagine that you'll need to take anything with you, except a swimsuit, as the lodges are very well stocked with fluffy towels and robes, hairdryers, four tv's (including a cheeky one over the bath), a fully equipped kitchen and pretty much everything else you'll need for a comfortable stay. Although, why cook yourself when the chef at the restaurant does such a great job? Loved every minute, but the best thing was spending quality time with my mum and sister - thanks both x

Me and my partner had a GREAT weekend at the grange and it was the perfect getaway the place was great lovely settings nice and quiet hot tub was great we were it morning and night. I was highly recommend this place 100% u would love this place I'll be booking again for real keep up the good work guys and girls many thanks again.
