Set in 14 acres of countryside and exquisitely decorated and furnished, The Retreat at Strawberryfield Park offers guests the perfect way to experience life in rural Somerset.

The interior of the lodge is spacious but clever design means it is also cosy, with the dining area opening on to the decked terrace through sliding doors. There are two good size bedrooms including a master which is en-suite, and a separate family bathroom. The private decked area with its hot tub and mood lighting is the best place to take in those amazing views, and an outdoor table and seating means guests can enjoy a delicious meal outdoors too.

For those cooler evenings the living room with its sumptuous sofas and wood burning stove, provides the perfect place to snuggle up and read a good book in. The fantastic location of Strawberryfield Park also makes for a great day out for those wishing to explore the surrounding area. Pack a picnic and enjoy a lazy afternoon in the orchard or make your way to the Cider Barn for a taste of local fayre – we cannot think of a better way to get away from it all.

Security Deposit: We ask our guests for a £125 good housekeeping bond, which is pre-authorised against your card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved (held as a pending transaction) and then released afterwards if there is no damage or additional cleaning. This will be held on the card on file 7 days prior to your arrival.
Pets: No pets allowed
Number of steps: No internal steps, a ramp to access the property
Type of Heating: Fully heated throughout
Linen & Towels: Bed linen is provided for your stay, however, if you require use of the travel cot you will need to bring your own cot linen. Each guest will be supplied with one hand towel and one bath towel for their stay. (if your holiday is longer than 10 days, please contact the Luxury Coastal team to discuss a mid-stay linen change)
Wi-Fi: This property offers free Wi-Fi for guests, however, we cannot guarantee the speed and connectivity. Therefore, if you are planning to work during your holiday, we recommend bringing a wifi dongle.
Wood Burner: Guests can bring their own or purchase logs on site if they require the use of the log burner.
Coffee Machine: There is a coffee machine.
Hot Tub: Partially sunken hot tub
Smoking: All of our properties are non-smoking and we ask that any party member who smokes, do so off the premises.
Additional Extras: There is a cot and a high chair available upon request, as these are not stored at the property, please add them to your booking if required. Additional extras can include things such as a bottle of champagne, rose petals and logs. These can be booked directly with Strawberryfield Park once you have placed your booking.

Lovely stay and well equipped lodge

Had a lovely stay in a very well equipped lodge. Everything we needed was included. Some minor hiccups that were dealt with immediately by the amazing site staff, who made us feel very welcome. Beautiful surroundings and very peaceful location.
