Settled into the landscape beneath the extraordinarily beautiful Mendhip Hills that surround Cheddar Gorge, this lodge is an escapist’s dream and one that offers both tranquility and luxury in equal measure. With an interior that’s as comfy as it is good-looking, Willows has two gorgeous en-suite bedrooms as well as an airy open plan living area and is fully kitted out with mod cons and home comforts so that guests can cook, eat and relax to their hearts’ content. Large glass sliding doors flow from the inside out, where a spacious wraparound decked terrace invites days spent basking in the fresh air, drink in hand and a good book to immerse oneself in. Evenings are whiled away with luxuriously long soaks in the hot tub or a glass (or three) of bubbly round the outdoor dining set before heading to bed for nights of deliciously deep sleep in a super king size bed.

Home to a small collection of contemporary eco-lodges, Strawberryfield Park blends into the encompassing countryside effortlessly, with a private orchard being the perfect place to enjoy a shady picnic and the wonderful on-site Cider Barn ideal for a supper created with locally-sourced produce.

Security Deposit: We ask our guests for a £125 good housekeeping bond, which is pre-authorised against your card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved (held as a pending transaction) and then released afterwards if there is no damage or additional cleaning. This will be held on the card on file 7 days prior to your arrival.
Pets: Two pets allowed, charged at £40 per pet per week. (In line with our house rules we do ask that pets are not left alone in the property, do not use the furniture or go in the bedroom areas.)
Number of steps: No internal steps, three external steps up to access the property
Type of Heating: Fully heated throughout
Linen & Towels: Bed linen is provided for your stay, however, if you require use of the travel cot you will need to bring your own cot linen. Each guest will be supplied with one hand towel and one bath towel for their stay. (if your holiday is longer than 10 days, please contact the Luxury Coastal team to discuss a mid-stay linen change)
Wi-Fi: This property offers free Wi-Fi for guests, however, we cannot guarantee the speed and connectivity. Therefore, if you are planning to work during your holiday, we recommend bringing a wifi dongle.
Wood Burner: Guests can bring their own or purchase logs on site if they require the use of the log burner.
Coffee machine: There is a coffee machine.
Hot Tub: Partially sunken hot tub
Smoking: All of our properties are non-smoking and we ask that any party member who smokes, do so off the premises.
Additional Extras: There is a cot and a high chair available upon request, as these are not stored at the property, please add them to your booking if required. Additional extras can include things such as a bottle of champagne, rose petals and logs. These can be booked directly with Strawberryfield Park once you have placed your booking.

A beautiful retreat

My family and I had the most gorgeous stay at Strawberry Field Park during a weekend in April 2024. The weather was glorious so we enjoyed the decking and hot tub and went for a lovely walk from our accomodation, up the nearby hill and the views were amazing. We also spent 2 days in beautiful Cheddar, just a 3 minute drive away. Gorgeous walks and views again, plus a great skate park and pump track which our boys took their scooters to. On arrival day, we also visited Wells which was gorgeous. The Bishops Gardens and Cathedral were lovely and had a yummy lunch at ASK. The accomodation had everything we needed and the biscuits, wine and bottled water on arrival was a really nice touch. We will 100% be back....

Had a lovely week staying in the willows with our dog we have stayed in other places but strawberry fields has been the best, excellent accommodation, staff very friendly and site was spotless We walked into cheddar then relaxed in the hot tub have already booked for next year would definitely recommend. If you're looking for a peaceful relaxing break look no further

We booked this lovely lodge as a little getaway for our mini moon. We're planning on going to florida next year but knew we needed to have a little after the wedding and this was the perfect place. The willows lodge was perfect for our 2 smaller dogs as the entire place was enclosed and dog proof and the outdoor area was super private. Some lovely biscuits and a bottle of wine were there on arrival which was a lovely touch along with the pint of milk in the fridge. Comfortable beds, all the modern tech you could ask for and a nice layout. We happened to visit on the only week of summer the UK seemed to have seen this year (scorching first week of September 2023) and this did make for some uncomfortable nights but there were 2 fans in the lodge which helped keep us and the dogs cooler. The apple orchard down the bottom end of the park was great to let the dogs out in the evening to cool down and a lovely touch for the dog owners. Over all. Big thumbs to the lodge and its privacy.

Very nice place and we would go again. The outside was enclosed which was ideal for our dogs and the hot tub was not overlooked. Very warm and comfortable.
