Overview

Honeycrisp’s contemporary design creates a really gorgeous space for relaxing breaks away with a loved one, and features an outside deck with wood-fired hot tub, as well as furniture and a firepit / barbecue for fresh air dining. A sprawling lawn to the front of the pods rolls down towards the River Axe, so if you like to start the morning with a dip in the hot tub you’ll be hard pressed to find a more idyllic setting for it. Inside, there’s plenty of space to get comfy in, with a lounge area and TV, dining nook, thoughtfully-equipped kitchenette, shower room and bedroom.

Just a 10 minute walk away, the Pheasant Pub (a favourite in the area) is a terrific place to while an afternoon or two away with good food and drink, or for those who don’t mind a short drive, The Ring O’Bells and The Burcott are also close by. A wealth of nature-infused attractions such as Wookey Caves (about 8 minutes’ drive), Cheddar Gorge, and Kilver Court and Gardens (both about 20 minutes) lie within easy reach, while Wells with its cathedral, shopping, restaurants and heritage sites, is the perfect day out. There are also several good beaches in the area including Burnham-on-Sea (with Britain’s shortest pier) which is about 30 minutes’ drive away, and the pebbly Kilve which is a little over an hour’s drive.

All guests will be provided with a Welcome Hamper, filled with little luxuries to help you settle in. Enjoy a prosecco or a beer on arrival, along with tea, coffee, long life milk, sugar, biscuits and chocolates for a relaxing start to your break.

Make your arrival extra special with our Hot Tub Package. For £26 the wood fired hot tub will be lit and warming beautifully ahead of your arrival so you can slip straight into relaxation the moment you step through the door. Simply add the Hot Tub Package as a bookable extra when confirming your stay.
If you expect to arrive after 4pm, please contact your local host so we can ensure the tub is perfectly timed and ready for you.

Wi-Fi: This property offers free Wi-Fi for guests. In a recent speed test, the download speed was recorded at 89.8mbps and the upload speed 80.09mbps, as with all Wi-Fi networks we are unable to guarantee speed and connectivity.
Hot Tub: The hot tub is wood-fired and rests on the decking. 3 bags of logs, firelighters and matches provided. Further logs can also be purchased on site
BBQ: A firepit with grill attachment which doubles as BBQ
Smoking: All of our properties are non-smoking and we ask that any party member who smokes, do so off the premises.
Property surroundings: This lodge is positioned second from the end of the row (between Bramley and Kingston Black). Guests may walk around the owners’ gardens where there are two resident pigs named Polly and Sally, and a troop of hens
Please note that for insurance purposes, the Apple Tree Glamping site only accepts guests and does not permit visitors. This includes the car park which is solely for guests’ use.

We’re pleased to offer a relaxed Sunday late check out for guests who’d like to make the most of their weekend stay. You can extend your departure time from 10.00am to 6.00pm on a Sunday for £30, paid directly to the site

We stayed here last weekend and everything was perfect. Lovely views and the animals are a real bonus. The pigs are a highlight. The pod is immaculate and the hot tub was lovely as you see nothing but countryside. There is a relaxed atmosphere and the owner is very friendly but gives you privacy. There are 2 lovely pubs in walking distance through country lanes. We will definitely be back!

We went for a last minute get away and the lodge was amazing. We paid for our hot tub to be heated up which was a really good option. The host is so nice and it was lovely to have all the chickens, ducks and pigs just across from the lodge. Having the outdoor cooking option was great!

We absolutely loved our time at Apple Tree - our cabin was better than we expected! The welcome note and drink were a lovely touch. The hot tub and fire pit were excellent - even though we were sandwiched between two cabins, we still felt we had privacy to enjoy the hot tub and views. Matthew was a great host and was nice for him to drop by and check how we were doing. The perfect home away from home - would highly recommend!

We had a fantastic weekend at Apple Tree Glamping. The location was beautiful, easy to find and despite being so close to others units, (and the farm animals!) felt very private. The unit itself was clean, warm and comfortable, and the hot tub was a wonderful way to watch the sunset, although be warned; if you want to use it straightaway it is worth paying for the team to set it up for your arrival, as it took a few hours for the wood burning stove to heat the water before we could use it. If you're looking for a quiet peaceful, base to explore Somerset, Apple Tree Glamping is it.

Really lovely weekend with my partner only problem is we could not get the hot tub to heat up but as we were only there for the weekend we wasnt that fussed, other then that it was a beautiful setting and lovely grounds would defrosting go back.

Booked this place for me and my boyfriend for my 23rd birthday and we absolutely loved it! I would recommend booking directly with them, we added the hamper option which provided us enough breakfast to last our entire trip (added this via an option along with rose petals on the bed! The owners Matt and Vicky also have a farm across from the river and you can go over, look around and meet all of the animals. We also met Matt and Vicky they was lovely, very friendly and sociable which made us feel really relaxed! Hot tub was amazing, if you enjoy start gazing this place has no light pollution so its a beautiful sky at night They also provided loads of information in your pod about the area and places to visit! Overall we loved it! We will be back

Had such a lovely weekend at Appletree! Pod was clean, cosy and has everything you need! Wood fire hot tub was lovely. Super quiet and peaceful. Owners were nice and accommodating- would not of hesitated to have contacted them if we needed anything! Would defiantly love to hook up again with some friends

A lovely relaxing place

Lovely long weekend break away at Apple Tree Glamping. The glamping pod was clean and had everything we needed including cooking utensils, firefighters for the bbq and wood for the wood fired hot tub. The site was lovely and peaceful with only 5 pods in total and had a lovely view out over the Mendip Hills. Our dog loved to potter around by the little river on the site and we thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the decking or in the hot tub late into the evening. The site owners were more than happy to chat if they saw you about and were also able to recommend local place to visit or eat. We even got some freshly laid eggs from the resident hens! Would definitely visit again!
