Overview

Perfectly proportioned both inside and out, guests will have all the space they need to enjoy time together, with the pod’s contemporary interior being well-equipped, spacious and comfortable. There’s a sumptuous living room with sofa and TV where you can curl up with a good book and enjoy the views down to the river, as well as a kitchen / dining area for preparing and sharing meals. The bedroom which features a double bed and picture window, has a separate shower room alongside. Treat yourselves to morning lie-ins with the doors open or step out on to the timber deck where you’ll be able to unwind in the sunshine with a cup of coffee or breakfast. Designed with relaxation in mind the pod comes complete with its own private wood-fired hot tub, outdoor furniture, and a fire bowl which doubles as an outdoor grill that's perfect for chilled out evenings and al fresco dinners.

Just a 10 minute walk away, the Pheasant Pub (a favourite in the area) is a terrific place to while an afternoon or two away with good food and drink, or for those who don’t mind a short drive, The Ring O’Bells and The Burcott are also close by. A wealth of nature-infused attractions such as Wookey Caves (about 8 minutes’ drive), Cheddar Gorge, and Kilver Court and Gardens (both about 20 minutes) lie within easy reach, while Wells with its cathedral, shopping, restaurants and heritage sites, is the perfect day out. There are also several good beaches in the area including Burnham-on-Sea (with Britain’s shortest pier) which is about 30 minutes’ drive away, and the pebbly Kilve which is a little over an hour’s drive.

All guests will be provided with a Welcome Hamper, filled with little luxuries to help you settle in. Enjoy a prosecco or a beer on arrival, along with tea, coffee, long life milk, sugar, biscuits and chocolates for a relaxing start to your break.

Make your arrival extra special with our Hot Tub Package. For £26 the wood fired hot tub will be lit and warming beautifully ahead of your arrival so you can slip straight into relaxation the moment you step through the door. Simply add the Hot Tub Package as a bookable extra when confirming your stay.
If you expect to arrive after 4pm, please contact your local host so we can ensure the tub is perfectly timed and ready for you.

Hot Tub: The hot tub is wood-fired and rests on the decking. 3 bags of logs, firelighters and matches provided. Further logs can also be purchased on site
BBQ: A firepit with grill attachment which doubles as BBQ
Smoking: All of our properties are non-smoking and we ask that any party member who smokes, do so off the premises.
Property surroundings: This pod is second in the row from the parking area (between Morgan Sweet and Bramley). Guests may walk around the owners’ gardens where there are two resident pigs named Polly and Sally, and a troop of hens
Please note that for insurance purposes, the Apple Tree Glamping site only accepts guests and does not permit visitors. This includes the car park which is solely for guests’ use.

We’re pleased to offer a relaxed Sunday late check out for guests who’d like to make the most of their weekend stay. You can extend your departure time from 10.00am to 6.00pm on a Sunday for £30, paid directly to the site

I surprised my girlfriend with a stay here for her birthday and we were beyond impressed. Matt was incredibly accomodating and friendly and helped us with any questions we had! We paid extra to have the hot tub heated upon arrival and we were 2 hours later than we stated due to traffic and the hot tub was still so warm! I would definitely recommend doing this. There are supermarkets 5 minutes away, plenty of local pubs, great places to hike and a beach. We managed to do everything in such a short stay. Would 100% stay again, the facilities were lovely, and clean and Matt was such a good host. Thank you Matt :)

The Apple Tree Barn location is easy to find, very secure and simply in beautiful Somerset countryside. We were warmly welcomed by Matt's mum. Nothing was too much trouble for Matt (the owner). He showed us how to use the hot tub. We had fresh eggs from their chicken, and it was wonderful to be in the hottub and look out on the Mendips in the background. Matt has 2 lovely future mum pigs, pheasants, turkeys, all pets. Beautiful Wells with its cathedral is nearby. It was a very relaxing stay in a comfortable pod surrounded by beautiful countryside. We loved it. Thank you Matt.

Location was peaceful. Hut was clean and made good use of the space, great bathroom cosindering the size. The woodfired bath (no bubbles) was decent but takes several hours to heat up, so bare that in mind. Its also tricky to keep it at a tolerable temp. Unfortunately the hut had a rather strong scent of paint and the towel heater seemed to be on constantly so the temperature in there was almost uncomfortable. Probably wouldn't stay again for the price.

All hot tubs need to be drained and refilled before a guest's arrival, meaning both wood-fired and electric hot tubs will take several hours to heat up and may not be ready until late on the day of check-in or the morning after. We thoroughly enjoyed our little break at Apple Tree Glamping for my partners birthday. I added on a bbq pack and birthday balloon for added touches the bbq pack was so yummy! The little extras really made it the mini booze on arrival the marshmallows and extra wood/kindling/fire lighters were a brilliant touch to make life easier for everyone! The location was great was nice and quiet perfect for the quiet weekend we wanted.
