Set within minutes of the outstanding Saunton Sands, and boasting a beautiful design, you’ll have your own hot tub for indulgent soaks, and a lovely deck for alfresco dining. Inside there’s a modern open plan living / kitchen and dining area which accesses outside through large bifold doors, and a sumptuous en-suite master bedroom with king size bed and garden views.

Guests with dogs can savour long walks on one of Devon’s best beaches at the fabulous Saunton Sands, an idyllic 3-mile stretch of stunning golden sand, backed by the UNESCO-protected Braunton Burrows Biosphere Reserve before grabbing a bite to eat at the fabulous dog-friendly Beachside Grill. Nearby, the South West Coast Path picks up part of the Tarka Trail along the estuary of the River Taw (part of North Devon’s Biosphere Reserve) which is an easy level route for walkers, passing through marshland and nature reserves that teem with wildlife before ending in the village of Instow.

Croftner is the first lodge on the right as you enter the orchard, Middle Thorne is the middle lodge of the three on the right side of the site, and Hayditch is at the top of the orchard, last on the right side.

Security Deposit: We ask our guests for a £50 good housekeeping bond, which is pre-authorised against your card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved (will show as a pending transaction in your account) and then released afterwards if there is no claim. This is held on the card on file 7 days prior to your arrival.
Pets: 2 pets allowed, £25 per pet per week, in line with our house rules we do ask that pets are not left alone in the property, do not use the furniture or go in the bedroom areas.

Linen & Towels: Bed linen is provided for your stay, however, if you require use of the travel cot you will need to bring your own cot linen. Each guest will be supplied with one hand towel and one bath towel for their stay. (if your holiday is longer than 10 days, please contact the Luxury Coastal team to discuss a mid-stay linen change)
Wi-Fi: This property offers free Wi-Fi for guests, however, we cannot guarantee the speed and connectivity. Therefore, if you are planning to work during your holiday, we recommend bringing a wifi dongle.

Smoking: All of our properties are non-smoking and we ask that any party member who smokes, do so off the premises.
Additional Extras: There are two EV charging points for guest use on site. (further details under parking information)
Property surroundings: A music festival will be held on the farm over the weekend of 30th August - 2nd September 2024, which will result in some noise for guests. Bookers during this period will receive complimentary tickets to the event as part of their booking. Please note that dogs are not permitted in the festival though.

We stayed at the great field lodges last year (different lodge to this time). Like last time, the lodge is clean and spacious. It's fitted and kitted out with all the necessaries needed for a comfortable holiday stay. Toilet roll, small bottle of milk, biscuits and treats for the dog, just to name a few 🙂 Bathroom is big and so tastefully done. The whole place is tastefully done!! Design and layout is perfect for two of you (and a little one if like us). The fact it is dog friendly makes it even better. To have a holiday home as beautiful and luxurious as this, with the added benefits of a huge, fully fenced in and secure garden for our dog, makes this place our new number one home, from home. The price is so good, especially considering your location and what you get for your money - errr hello hot tub??!!! Everything is clean and in immaculate condition. It's so peaceful and you aren't ever infringing on any of the other lodges there (6 in total, 3 either side). I haven't had to contact Sarah during my stays, however she did contact me when we left an item behind - how lovely to have honest people around who care when you've left something behind!! I have seen her in passing. What a lovely lady. I'm sure if I did need anything or have any questions during my stay, she would be happy to help without a doubt. I cannot recommend this place enough, a real hidden gem. Look forward to coming back in July for two weeks (we're getting married in Ilfracombe) but holiday in Saunton and Croyde every year and have done since I was a baby. Location is brilliant, so many dog walks, dog friendly beaches and pubs nearby.

Loved this lodge so much! Did want to go home. The place was so peaceful it was beautiful! The lodge itself I cannot fault at all, the presentation was lovely. You have everything you needed for a stay away from home. The hot tub was amazing aswell. Cannot wait to rebook in a couple months.

High end lodge with quality furnishings. Located a few minutes drive from the village and ten minutes from the beach. Private area for the dogs was excellent. Would definitely recommend 5 ??

Excellent property, value for money, Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to book again, A soft foot stool in the lounge area would be nice together with a pair of tongs in the kitchen for turning sausages ! but neither detracts from the property.

On arrival we were so pleased with the huge garden for our greyhound to run about in. The accommodation was spotless, wood decor beautiful and cosy. Little touches like prosecco, dog biscuits , a dog blanket, poo bags and biscuits for us too was very lovely. Hot tub on the decking was amazing. Under floor heating was so cosy and the bed very comfy. Amazing shower, huge bathroom. Just absolutely perfect for our birthday getaway. If I could give it 100 stars I would! Thank you

Lovely weekend break

Just spent a long weekend in Croftner Lodge. Our first recommendation must be to the cleaning team we truly thought the lodge was brand new, everything is so beautifully pristine! The furnishings and equipment are all top quality and extremely comfortable with everything that you might need supplied. Despite being mid November and chilly, wet weather outside, the lodge was cosy and warm. The robes and towels lovely quality, thick and fluffy. The welcome pack was lovely and we truly made the best of the hot tub dipping in morning and night. The Lodges are in a great location to explore beautiful North Devon ideally placed for the fabulous beaches at Saunton Sands, Woolacombe, and Croyde Bay. Interesting walk on Braunton Burrows to Crow Point and lots of choice for places to eat locally. Whilst brilliantly placed for the shops and restaurants of Braunton the site is extremely peaceful, with only the sound of the birds disturbing the quiet! We definitely hope to return to this lovely place.

Beautiful lodge, very clean, warm inside and fully equipped. The hot tub was lovely to use and very warm. The enclosed garden area was beautifully designed and not overlooked by the other lodges, very quiet setting and not far away from Braunton town, highly recommended

We stayed Monday to Friday in September. We met the owner upon arrival. The lodge was very clean and of high standard throughout. The hot tub was checked and maintained daily and was a great addition and one of the reasons for booking this lodge was because of the glass roof over the hot tub which was perfect as we did get a bit of rain most days during our stay which meant we could still use the hot tub. The lodge is easily accessed via a short lane just off of a main road. It was very quiet and we couldn't hear any noise, it was very relaxing. It's in a good location for visiting Woolacombe and Croyde.

Fantastic Stay

We stayed for 4 nights, the lodge was comfortable, clean, cosy and well presented. Private garden and hot tub. Complimentary milk, biscuits and Prosecco. Great location, very close to Saunton sands beach, 10min drive to Croyde and 20 min walk into Braunton village. The lodges are located on a working farm but there was very little in the way of noise and disturbances. Overall we had a lovely stay and wouldnt hesitate to book again.

Amazing place to stay with the dog

We recently returned from a monday to friday visit here. The layout of the lodges means it wasnt over looked and you had your own space. Everything we needed was in the lodge... even some treats for the dog. We had an amazing time and was only a few mintues to the beach saunton sands Would recommend to anyone

The best stay ever!

We camd down for 4 nights and sarah our host could not have been any more accommodating!! She dropped by on our first evening to check all was ok after we checked in etc and there was not a single problem!! We had a bottle of fizz on arrival, some shortbread and essentials like milk - it was all very thought out and made a huge difference to our stay! Wifi was excellent, we loved the hot tub, and the whole week was just amazing! We actually extended our stay because we loved it so much the lodge was just lovely, couldnt fault it! Will 100% be our regular stay in north devon from now on! Thank you sarah!

Came for a little weekend get away and what a perfect find! Been coming to Braunton for years and this was the perfect location! Has everything you need, very private and enjoyed the hot tub too! WiFi was a tittle temperamental at times but overall ok. Would definitely come back & recommend. x

Relaxing and calming weekend

just amazing the whole place has a relaxing feeling about it with the pine smell everywhere. The hot tub was just great with glass roof too. Sarah was lovely and provided everything we needed from milk to coffee tea and prosecco. All utensils are there even foil and cling film. She checked once a day on hot tub but apart from that left us to it. Will definitely return.
