One of six luxury lodges on an exclusive site in Braunton, this bright and airy property is open plan in design and invites total relaxation in a tranquil setting. Unwind in the beautifully styled living area or whip up a special meal together in the amply equipped bijou kitchen; stepping out through the French doors will lead you onto your huge, covered deck where a pair of sun loungers tempt a spot of sunbathing or catching up on a good book or two. The lodge’s master bedroom has a sumptuous king size bed and a large, contemporary bath with separate shower. Floor to ceiling windows make the most of the views out to the garden and provide a beautiful backdrop for a morning lie-in or breakfast in bed.

With so many lovely walks to embark on in the area including the wonderful sandy stretch at Saunton Sands, we can’t think of a better way to end an adventure-filled day than by sinking into the private hot tub and enjoying a blissful evening beneath the stars.

Cutterbrough is the first lodge on the left as you enter the orchard, Swanpool is the middle lodge of the three on the left hand side of the site, and Broadpath is at the top of the orchard, last on the left.

Security Deposit: We ask our guests for a £50 good housekeeping bond, which is pre-authorised against your card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved (will show as a pending transaction in your account) and then released afterwards if there is no claim. This is held on the card on file 7 days prior to your arrival.
Pets: 2 pets allowed, £25 per pet per week, in line with our house rules we do ask that pets are not left alone in the property, do not use the furniture or go in the bedroom areas.

Linen & Towels: Bed linen is provided for your stay, however, if you require use of the travel cot you will need to bring your own cot linen. Each guest will be supplied with one hand towel and one bath towel for their stay. (if your holiday is longer than 10 days, please contact the Luxury Coastal team to discuss a mid-stay linen change)
Wi-Fi: This property offers free Wi-Fi for guests, however, we cannot guarantee the speed and connectivity. Therefore, if you are planning to work during your holiday, we recommend bringing a wifi dongle.

A lovely stay in North Devon

Absolutely loved our stay here in the Swanpool lodge. Beautiful cabin and filled with everything we needed. High chair and cot were provided for our 8 month old. The place was clean and well equipped. Easy to access and incredibly secure garden for our dog to have a roam around. Only minor issue is that the WiFi didnt work indoors but TV was connected via Ethernet with all the usual on demand apps. We really enjoyed our stay here. The photos dont do it justice and Sarah was brilliant. Answered all our questions and helped with everything we needed.

Cozy hidden gem perfect for couples getaway.

We knew when we arrived at this wonderful lodge that we would have an amazing week. And we did just that, using the relaxing hot tub (checked every day) and modern facilities which had everything we could need. We loved lots of the little details and practical features of this secluded chalet which seemed specifically put out for our stay. The location was perfect for beach goers or hikers with many beautiful places near, while also being helpfully close to local shops and restaurants.

Excellent luxury stay

We have stayed at great field lodges twice now and will return . The location for us close to saunton beach for our dog is brilliant as its the most fabulous dog friendly beach . Also the beachside grill is excellent. Braunton also walkable . Little shop only 8 mins walk too on the housing estate opposite . The lodges r always clean and comfortable. Good choice of tv channels . Hot tub so good . Garden is large and safe . We really benefited this time from the use of the EV charger which is quite a fast one too . Nothing to dislike here . Perfect dog friendly stay .

Wonderful private getaway with a lot of thoughtful touches

We found Swanpool searching for dog friendly holidays in North Devon and were so glad we decided to spend a bit more to stay there rather than a small apartment in Croyde or Woolacombe. There were so many lovely thoughtful touches from the owners on our arrival, including milk and bubbly in the fridge, dressing gowns and a basket of treats and handy items for the dog. Everything was very clean, the kitchen was stocked with pretty much any item you would need for cooking and the hot tub was so relaxing we could have stayed in there all day (although as a very light sleeper it was a little loud during the night, I assume to maintain its temperature). The garden was quiet and private and you wouldn't know there were other lodges next door. Would definitely recommend staying there and we're already thinking about going back next year.

Lovely peaceful location

This is a lovely lodge. Everything you need if you want to self cater, but plenty of places in Braunton and surrounding area to eat out. The only thing we had was a "rattle" on the hot tub when the pump started up which was a little distracting as it was situated on the decking near the bedroom, but when you went to sleep was ok. Husband spoke to Sarah she was gonna get it looked at, think it may just need some insulation round a pipe. The only other thing was the sofa was a little hard but then that is probably just a personel thing. The bed was nice and comfortable and the bathroom was lovely. Outside is lovely garden area and decking with hot tub and nice places to sit and relax. We would definitley be back.

Easy check in, beautiful lodge. Even though the weather wasn't kind to us we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Our first time spending time in your lovely lodge in Braunton. The lodge is decorated to a high standard. The communication from booking to the end of our stay was excellent. The facilities and what was provided was both personal and thoughtful. The area was lovely and with the information provided from an extensive list from eateries, local beaches, dog friendly places it added so much to the experience. Would highly recommended, the price for the time of year was great value for money and will certainly be back again. Thank you for a lovely adventure, the weather you cannot control, but everything else was all down to your preparation and care.

We had a wonderful stay at Swanpool and could not find anything negative about the property. The lodge was spacious, comfortable, well furnished, amazing bathroom, great hot tub, and lovely grounds. The lodge was in an orchard which we loved and we even went home with some apples. The welcome gifts of milk, prosecco, and shortbread were a nice touch. Sarah was really friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We bought some farm potatoes and sweetcorn when we left. We would definitely recommend and stay again.

We couldn't fault this place. Stayed here for 5 days following our wedding. It was completely perfect. It has everything we needed and to such a high standard too. Sarah was extremely attentive if we needed things, and the hot tub was checked daily. It's extremely secluded and private. Very peaceful and the shower was excellent, bed super comfy. I cannot find anything that wasn't perfect. We will definitely be recommending to all our friends and hope to stay again! Thank you, Clare and Luke.

We have just returned from staying here we had 2 lodges the Swanpool and the Cutterbrough for 3 nights and both were lovely very well equipped even down to the dog treats dog towel and poo bags the lodges are very spacious and clean the kitchen has everything you need the lounge area is lovely decorated and very comfortable and a beautiful bathroom. The hot tub is large clean and lovely and warm with an outside shower area. This place is luxury well worth the cost.

Stayed at Swanpool early May 2023 . What a fantastic lodge ,great location and very clean. It had everything we needed ,plus little touches like dog treats ,tea ,coffee,sugar,milk and a lovely bottle of Proseco in the fridge! Oh and not forgetting the shortbread! The lodge itself was spacious with an awesome bathroom. The outdoor space was a very good size and completely enclosed, which was great for the dog . The bed was very comfortable and the bathrobes were another nice little touch . The best bit of course was the hottub! Clean and hot,perfect! 15 minute walk into Braunton.15 minute drive to Woolacombe or Ilfracombe. I would recommend this lodge to anyone and we are already planning our next stay!

Beautiful lodges, we like our privacy and stayed in Swanpool which we found to be perfect and not overlooked at all. The lodges have a very high end finish and are perfect for 2. Loved the hot tub which is covered so you can even use when the weather isnt great. The garden was very secure for our dog. Great location, only a stones throw from Braunton, Saunton & Croyde with so many beautiful walks on the doorstep. Communication with Sarah was first class. Highly recommended

A beautiful well equipped cottage and a lovely friendly host. Location was great and although it rained for us we had a lovely break. Quick drive to town and beach and lovely silence from the garden, the cabin is secluded and private and so relaxing The hot tub was always warm and is undercover, the bed super comfy and the bathtub is massive! The cabin is lovely and warm and easily adjustable thermostat. There was lovely little touches - biscuits for humans and dogs and a bottle of bubbly for the hot tub. Unfortunately the garden wasnt fully secure for out littlest dog so we kept her on a lead but great for the bigger one (would be great for anything spaniel size or larger). It really wasnt an issue for us as shes happy on a long line. We would 100% go back again and will be booking for summer! Thank you 🙂

My husband and I came here for a Valentines get away and we sure did have an amazing stay everything is well cleaned and organised and the place was very lovely and relaxing. They even have a treat and a towel for our dog to use so me, my husband and our dog felt very welcomed. Sarah the one who managed the place was very approachable and accommodating as well she replies with my messages very fast and she sure is checking the hot tub everyday so that we can have a lovely stay without having problems. I surely recommend this place for everyone who wants to have a relaxing get away and we will surely comeback. If anyone is finding a place to have a vacation this place is an absolute gem!!
