Overview

Discover a slower pace of life with a stay at this beautiful holiday home in Brixham on the south coast of Devon. A popular destination for families, Brixham is a vibrant fishing town that centres around its busy harbour, with ice-cream shops and restaurants peppering its narrow, winding streets, and a fantastic breakwater for enjoying evening strolls along.

Set in an elevated position above the bustling town, Red Sails is a lovely three-bedroom home with a spacious open-plan layout that offers fantastic indoor / outdoor living. Light-filled and airy, the interior has a welcoming atmosphere throughout, with a feature fireplace, plush seating and a bay window providing a luxurious and comfortable room to relax and unwind in. Designed around entertaining, the kitchen and dining area forms a wonderfully sociable space to spend time together, with large sliding doors opening out on to a fantastic enclosed suntrap of a garden. Two established trees dapple the sunlight through their leaves giving the patio an almost Mediterranean feel, with a furnished barbecue area and pergola making the perfect place to enjoy fresh air dining and a cold refreshment or two. Upstairs are the home’s three bright bedrooms which all feature crisp linens and a fresh, neutral colour scheme. The dreamy master bedroom has a wonderful four poster metal frame bed and floaty white drapes, with the second being a spacious double and the third a good size bunk room.

Just a short stroll from Brixham’s pretty marina as well as within easy reach of the beaches and attractions of the neighbouring towns of Paignton and Torquay, Red Sails is brilliantly positioned to enjoy everything that this terrific corner of Devon has to offer.

Welcome to Brixham

There’s a nostalgic feeling to Brixham holidays that makes them feel a world away from the daily grind; a friendliness from the locals who call the town home as well as a tangible connection to its seafaring past. This picturesque town perched quietly on Devon’s south coast is still a bustling fishing port, where clusters of colourful cottages in every shade of the rainbow seemingly tumble down the hill towards the harbour’s quay, with boats and trawlers offloading their daily hauls ready to be transformed into the local restaurants’ ‘catch of the day’.

Outstanding
4.8/5

Everything about Red Sails was first class, very well apportioned and clean. One downside(and its because it's Brixham) was the walk back from the town.

Hi Stephen, Thank you for your kind words about Red Sails. We’re delighted to hear that you found everything first-class and clean. We understand that the walk back from town can be a bit challenging due to Brixham’s hilly terrain. We appreciate your feedback and hope it didn’t detract too much from your overall experience. We hope to welcome you back in the future. Best wishes, The Luxury Coastal Team

Lovely Stay at Red Sails
5/5

We had a fantastic holiday at Red Sails. The location was perfect and the accommodation was spacious. We had a problem during our stay which was resolved the same day by the owner. We were kept up to date with what was going on and everything was ok from then. The only negative is that the beds were pretty unconfortable, I would recommend new mattresses. I would stay here again.

Lovely house in a great location. Well equipped. The only negative was the bed and sofa was quite uncomfortable.

TV & Equipment issues
4/5

Originally stated under living that the TV was a SMART TV but it wasn't, just a freeview TV. This has now been amended on the website to wall mounted TV and TV remote control was not working properly and this was not rectified. Kitchen equipment basic & lacking. Not enough cereal bowls, fish slice broken & only 1 saucepan lid for 3 saucepans. These items were very quickly replaced but the saucepan lids were not very good, not a proper handle on the top so burnt fingers. No ovenproof dishes for oven either.

Hi Susan, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are pleased that some of these points you have raised were rectified during your stay. The Property Manager also dropped round a bottle of wine to apologise. We have passed on your feedback and this will be rectified for future stays. We do hope to welcome you to stay with us again at Luxury Coastal. Best Wishes, The Luxury Coastal Team
