Perched just above the harbour and town and with wonderful sea views on display, you’ll be within easy reach of the quay, its restaurants and shops while having plenty of space for relaxing and socialising.

Arranged over three floors, Upper Anzac has more than enough room for five guests including three bedrooms and a spacious open plan living / dining / kitchen area. There are also entertainment features a-plenty in the form of Smart TV’s, an XBOX 360 games console, DVD player and music system. The highlight however is the property’s large top floor terrace with fantastic views over the town and harbour, where you can barbecue, entertain, and unwind in the sunshine.

If you fancy eating out during your stay instead, you’ll have many terrific restaurants to choose from, all within easy reach of the property. Grab your freshly brewed coffees and delicious breakfasts from nearby restaurants such as Port Espresso and Curious Kitchen or indulge in a fabulous seafood supper at Simply Fish, Albero’s, Rock Fish or Beamers (to name but a few).

Perfectly positioned on the coast, the surrounding area has fantastic sea view walks including those around Berry Head and Churston Woods. There are also hidden beaches to discover like Fishcombe and Churston Cove which are both less than 25 minutes’ walk away. For something even closer to home, Breakwater Beach is a 15-minute walk along the seafront past the harbour and Marina.

Upper Anzac shares a building with its neighbouring property Anzac. Both have their own entrances and are completely separate when booked individually. For larger guest parties of up to 13, an inter leading door on the first floor can be unlocked and opened up to combine both properties.

    Security Deposit: We ask our guests for a £150 good housekeeping bond, which is pre-authorised against your card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved and then released afterwards if there is no claim. We will contact you nearer the time of your arrival to arrange this.

    Linen & Towels: Bed linen is provided for your stay, however, if you require use of the travel cot you will need to bring your own cot linen.     Wi-Fi: This property offers free Wi-Fi for guests, however, we cannot guarantee the speed and connectivity. Therefore, if you are planning to work during your holiday, we recommend bringing a wifi dongle.

    Smoking: All of our properties are non-smoking and we ask that any party member who smokes, do so off the premises.

Welcome to Brixham

There’s a nostalgic feeling to Brixham holidays that makes them feel a world away from the daily grind; a friendliness from the locals who call the town home as well as a tangible connection to its seafaring past. This picturesque town perched quietly on Devon’s south coast is still a bustling fishing port, where clusters of colourful cottages in every shade of the rainbow seemingly tumble down the hill towards the harbour’s quay, with boats and trawlers offloading their daily hauls ready to be transformed into the local restaurants’ ‘catch of the day’.

Fabulous views!

Location of Upper Anzac is excellent …giving amazing views across the harbour and surrounding areas. Only down side to having such a location might be the steep climb and steps for some visitors but there are a variety of options to descend to the harbour. Car parking is very good and so useful to be safely right next to the property and off the thoroughfare too. Accommodation is spacious and comfortable but is adequate rather than luxurious …but well suited for those spending most of their time outdoors. I guess the main test is whether we would choose to return to Upper Anzac and I’m sure all the parties staying there would say yes!
