Whether you’re looking to hang ten or just hang out, Hilgrove Beach House is the just the spot for a coastal kick back and features tons of designer space as well as a contemporary outdoor area and terrace. Architecturally designed this home is uber cool from the outset, with huge glass doors framing its modern, timber-cladded exterior. Inside on the ground floor, are three light-filled and spacious bedrooms, with two bathrooms (one en-suite) and a utility room. Flawlessly styled with retro-inspired furniture pieces and muted colour tones, beds are adorned with crisp white linen and sumptuously soft duvets, so a good night’s sleep is just a percale cotton sheet away.

Upstairs on the first floor, you’ll discover the open plan social hub of the house, where a lounge with loads of sinkable seating flows into the spectacular kitchen with white stone worktops and integrated appliances. A big solid wood dining table seating up to ten creates the perfect place to converge in, while a panel of glass separating the room from the staircase adds a bespoke edge. Like the rest of the house the lounge is loaded with all the latest technology such as the 42 inch Smart television with Freeview and soundbar, DVD player, entertainment system and wireless broadband.

Spanning all of the top floor lies the fabulous master suite which has its own shower room. Drenched in natural light it’s a real showstopper and perfect for mums and dads looking to enjoy a lazy coffee in bed, away from the sounds of breakfast chatter downstairs. Post-beach afternoons can be spent relaxing in the contemporary courtyard garden, where you can fire up the barbie, pop open a bottle of something fizzy and dine al-fresco.

    Security Deposit: We ask our guests for a £250 good housekeeping bond, which is pre-authorised against your card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved (held as a pending transaction) and then released afterwards if there is no damage or additional cleaning. This will be held on the card on file 7 days prior to your arrival.
    Pets: 2 pets allowed, £25 per pet per week, in line with our house rules we do ask that pets are not left alone in the property, do not use the furniture or go in the upstairs/bedroom areas
    Number of steps: 1 external step and 2 flights of internal stairs
    Type of heating: Central heating
    Linen & Towels: Bed linen is provided for your stay, however, if you require use of the travel cot you will need to bring your own cot linen. Each guest will be supplied with one hand towel and one bath towel for their stay. (if your holiday is longer than 10 days, please contact the Luxury Coastal team to discuss a mid-stay linen change)
    Wi-Fi: This property offers free Wi-Fi for guests, however, we cannot guarantee the speed and connectivity. Therefore, if you are planning to work during your holiday, we recommend bringing a wifi dongle.
    Coffee Machine: Nespresso Magimix
    Smoking: All of our properties are non-smoking and we ask that any party member who smokes, do so off the premises.

    Located on the first floor, this room is open plan in design with the kitchen and dining area and has two sofas and two armchairs as well as occasional furniture pieces. There is a wall mounted 42" Smart flat screen television and soundbar as well as a TV cabinet housing a DVD player, Bluetooth speaker and DAB radio.

    Kitchen/Utility
    Incorporated into the living / dining area on the first floor, the kitchen is sleek in design with two integrated single ovens and an induction hob. It also includes a fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, blender / mixer and cafetier.

    Dining Room/Area
    Situated on the first floor and open plan with the kitchen and living room, the dining room has a hard wood table with seating for ten and a gorgeous herringbone sideboard. There is access via stairs from here to the master suite upstairs.

    Bedroom One
    Situated on the ground floor with its own en-suite shower room.
    This bedroom is furnished with a double bed, bedside tables and wall-mounted lamps and has access through glazed sliding doors to the outside terrace.

    Bedroom Two
    Situated on the ground floor. This bright room is furnished with a double sofa bed that can be made up as a double or folded into a sofa if requested at time of booking and the room used as an entertainment den for the kids. There is a wall mounted flat screen Smart television with Freeview, a DVD player and a Bluetooth speaker.

    Bedroom Three
    Also situated on the ground floor this bunk room has a storage cabinet and a poof. This room has a trundle bed for additional sleeping for one guest. Bunk beds ideally suited to children.

    Master Bedroom
    Situated upstairs on the second floor this spacious bedroom is furnished with a king size bed, bedside tables, lamps and storage. This bedroom has its own modern en suite shower room.

    Family Bathroom
    Located on the second floor, the family bathroom includes a bath tub with glass shower screen and rain head shower over, wash basin, heated towel rail and WC.

    Bathroom Two
    Located on the ground, floor this gorgeous en suite to Bedroom One has a walk in shower with a large rain head attachment, a hand basin heated towel rail and WC.

    Bathroom Three
    The en suite to the Master Bedroom is located on the second floor and features a large shower cubicle with large shower head attachment, heated towel rail, hand basin and WC.

    Outside
    Accessed through French doors from Bedroom One, the spacious enclosed garden is furnished with sun-loungers and an outdoor dining suite that includes a table and seating for ten. There are surfboard / canoe storage racks and an outside shower which is great for de-sanding. A rattan sofa, armchair and footstool make the additional chill out zone perfect for unwinding, and there's charcoal barbecue and firepit for those all important outdoor evenings.

Hilgrove Beach House is situated in a quiet residential area and is best suited to families or couples looking to enjoy a relaxing break near the beach. If your booking falls outside either of these groups, please get in touch before making your booking to discuss your requirements.

Hilgrove House in a great location. Was clean, bright & well equipped. Brilliant dining/social space. Good size bedrooms with plenty of bathrooms for a large group. Single car parking never helpful but access to parking in surrounding streets was easy enough. Shame about the building site which added noise and reduced privacy. If the garden lighting & hot tub returned to operation, it would be fantastic for families in the evening. Communication with Luxury Coastal was excellent and operatives couldn't have been more helpful. Delightful company to deal with!

Overall all rooms within the house were both convenient and well kept, all living requirements were met well and then some, internet access was strong and entertainment opportunities were fantastic, overall I’d heavily recommend staying here again.

We stayed at the house as part of a family holiday following our wedding. The house was lovely, spacious and modern. Overall the house was clean except for 1 area. My sisters daughters are too young to sleep in a high bunk bed so she decided to use the under bed sleeper instead, however when she pulled it out it was thick with dust. Had to clean before they could sleep on it. The only other criticism I have is that there was a demolition happening directly behind the house, the noise didn’t really impact us but the dust everywhere did. Cars were thick with dust and also garden furniture so had to clean all furniture every night before enjoying garden space. Appreciate that’s not the accommodations fault but a heads up to guests staying during the building work would be beneficial. Other than that great property and would stay again.
