Overview

If you’re in search of a holiday destination that combines the beauty of the coast with plenty to see and do, Porthleven is the place. Cottage-lined streets meander past Cornish cafes and crafts shops down to its pretty harbour and historic breakwater creating a wonderful setting for holidays with friends and family.

This modern home which lies within easy reach of the harbour and town offers eight guests a lovely base for their Porthleven holiday. Stepping inside you’ll discover tons of gorgeous space for relaxation including a bright living room with an enormous sofa, and a fabulous kitchen/diner with sliding doors leading out to the garden. Pull up a stool at the breakfast bar and chat about the day’s plans over a coffee; or whip up a seafood lunch and converge around the dining table; the thoughtful design of the home lends itself beautifully to socialising and entertaining.

Situated on the first floor are three bedrooms, two of which are twins and one which is a king with its own en-suite. The family bathroom is also found on this floor and besides a large walk-in shower, it has a gorgeous free-standing bath. On the second floor is the spacious master suite which is furnished with a king size bed and has its own dressing area and bathroom. Outside, the enclosed garden has sea views and a raised terrace with picnic benches, so it’s a fantastic spot to soak up the Cornish sunshine and enjoy fresh air dining after a day on the beach.

Porthleven life centres around its working harbour, and here you’ll discover excellent food, freshly caught seafood, and a vibrant craft market between May and October. The town's growing art scene boasts galleries showcasing local talent, as well as restaurants from award-winning chefs, and the lively Porthleven Food Festival. Much of the coastline around the town is designated as Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty with nearby Loe Pool which is Cornwall’s largest natural freshwater lake, and the Loe Bar, providing incredible natural beauty for walkers and cyclists. If it’s a beach holiday you’re after, you’ll have a Porthleven’s town beach just 5 minutes’ drive away, or slightly further away but still only a 10ish minute drive is the fantastic Praa Sands where you can swim, sunbathe and surf to your heart’s content.
