Open-plan in design and tastefully furnished, the living space is perfectly suited to entertaining and socialising with roomy sofas, a TV and large sliding doors spilling out to a wonderful wraparound patio. A breakfast bar in the kitchen means you can chat about the day’s plans while rustling up your eggs and bacon, or when you’re back home from exploring you can gather round the dining table for meals, boardgames and conversation.

Three lovely large bedrooms including a superior master with en suite create private sanctuaries to retreat to for an afternoon nap or terrific night’s sleep and all feature quality beds, luxury linens and plenty of storage. Outside a fantastic garden and patio are just the place for unwinding in the sunshine and you’ll find a outdoor furniture for fresh air feasting along with a hook and cook BBQ stand as well as a bubbling hot tub with accommodates up to six guests.

The extraordinary location of Roadford Lake lodges right beside the lake means plenty of opportunity for all to enjoy outdoor adventure. Just a meander down a short, wooded path leads you to a children’s play area and Roadford Café which overlooks the lake. Roadford Activity Centre is under 5 minutes’ drive and offers many water-based activities like sailing, kayaking, SUPping and windsurfing, while guests with dogs will love exploring the trails and paths of the surrounding area. The Roadford Lake Lodges site also boasts its own amenities like a gym which is free for guests to use, and a dog wash for those travelling with their pooches.

The site has two EV charging points for guest use, situated along from reception in two designated parking spaces. The EV charging point is by MONTA. Guests will need to download the free MONTA app to make payment. We kindly ask that once your vehicle is charged, that you park in your lodge car parking space to ensure the EV spaces are free for other guests on the site.
If both chargers are unavailable, we recommend using the fast-charging station in Lifton, around a 10-minute drive away.

We had a great week at Cherry Lodge. We were very impressed with the lodge, it was of a high standard and had everything we needed. The location of our lodge was great, we had a good sized patio and hot tub both of which were very private. The surroundings were lovely, the lake was nice to walk around, our little one loved the park and the cafe was great. Overall we had a really lovely time and would visit again.

Cherry lodge is a beautiful lodge near the end of the row so very quiet. It was generally very clean and had a luxury feel when you walked in. The sofas are comfy and the big tv was great. The hot tub was lovely in the evening! My only criticism is the very poor quality of the mattresses. They feel cheap, are unsupportive - I just didnt sleep well. For the price, I would expect better quality beds and bedding. I would love to come back but not until the beds are upgraded.

Had a great time in Cherry Lodge. Generally clean just a little dusty in places but understand can be a quick turn around for housekeeping staff. Had all equipment you could want and good appliances. Loved overlooking the field with sheep in whilst in hot tub. Ideal location near the lake and lots of woodland walks . Maintenance very quick when had a small issue . Really loved our stay .

We have stayed before on this side so was aware of the location we however booked cherry lodge at it provided more privacy. Kitchen a little smaller than before and o think you would struggle if more than 4 of you. The location is superb to Visit and tour Devon and Cornwall and if your into or wanting to try water sports the lake is just around the corner. The lodges and general site if perfect for small groups and families and would definitely recommend. The father visited again is a good testimony on how much we enjoyed our first visit and would if closer, visit more often!

Lovely stay at this lodge, very well decorated and had everything we needed for a weeks stay. This was a very well kept site and the lodge was in a lovely position with good outside space and we made full use of the hot tub. Also recommend the cafe for food and drinks.

Not worth the money - terrible place to stay

What a bitterly disappointment this lodge and site was. Site - dog owners were letting their dogs roam off lead. My dog was attacked. One of the reasons I chose this site was because it clearly said dogs were to be kept on lead. Site safety - the site has a gated entrance and you require to enter a key code to gain entry, or so I was led to believe. The truth is that anyone can gain entry into the site by just driving up to the gates and the gates open. Wheelchair accessible path around the lake is not accessible in a wheelchair. Lodge - a total impractical holiday accommodation. Bedrooms (especially bedroom 2) is incredibly small and difficult to move around. Unable to dress and undress in the bedroom. The wardrobes are only half size (not suitable for hanging up longer items). Not enough hangers for clothes. All beds were uncomfortable to sleep on. You could feel all the springs through the sheets (especially bed 2). No protective covers on the mattresses. Duvet on bed 2 was very thin and totally impractical for the colder months. Skirting boards were dusty and dont even mention the dirt behind the bedside cabinets! Bathrooms - cabinets were below sink only (a shelf would have been nice). Shower floor was incredibly slippy (no shower mat provided or rail to hold onto). The dust in both bathroom fans was black and disgusting. Main bathroom toilet seat didnt fit properly. Kitchen - no storage facilities for your food products (beside fridge/freezer). Therefore had to store food on the worktops, which meant nowhere to prepare a meal. No salt/rinse aid provided. Dining area - dining chairs were too low for comfortable eating and also showed signs of dirt and food deposits. Lounge area - TV had no signal. Reading the guest book, this has been a problem since it opened in February 2023. Therefore the only way to watch television was through apps (iplayer/itvx etc). This obviously heavily relies on the internet being strong, to which it wasnt and often buffering would ensue. Wi-Fi - sometimes ok, but often not. Heating - the thermostat was difficult to control and had some odd preset time/temperature settings.(often had to get up in the night to turn the heating off as it had come on and was at 26 degrees). No outdoor lighting - we had been informed of this before arrival and lamps provided - thank you. But again reading the guest book, this had also been an ongoing issue since opening. There were a few things that were good about the lodge - the hot tub was luxurious, the indoor lighting was excellent and the hairdryer was fabulous! Fridge and freezer were very clean. On the whole, our holiday experience at this lodge was appalling. We did not stay for the duration of our holiday as it was unsustainable for 7 days.

Had we been made aware of these issues during your stay, we would have done our utmost to address them immediately to make your stay more comfortable. We ask all dogs to be kept on leads, and our team reinforces this rule whenever they see a dog off-lead. We are truly sorry to hear that your dog was attacked by another dog on site. We will explore ways to better enforce this rule to prevent such incidents in the future. Regarding the gates, they are automatic until a certain time at night, after which a code is required to open them. We apologise if there was any misunderstanding about this process. We regret that the wheelchair-accessible path around the lake did not meet your needs. Unfortunately, as Roadford Lake Lodges are not in partnership with the lake, we do not have control over this aspect. We strive to accurately represent the sizes of all rooms in our listings through images and descriptions and would never intentionally mislead guests. Following your comments however, the owner is considering replacing the Superking bed in the 2nd bedroom with a King bed to provide more space. We understand the frustration with the wardrobes having drawers at the bottom and are looking into the possibility of removing some of these to offer better hanging space. The owner has also provided hooks on the back of the bathroom doors which can be used for long items. We acknowledge that bed comfort is subjective and apologise that you found the beds uncomfortable. The owners provide mattress protectors, but these seem to go missing frequently via the laundry. We will ensure they are replaced. Additionally, there is a spare, thicker duvet in the wardrobe for guests who find the provided one too thin. A deep clean has been conducted since your stay, and we apologise for the cleanliness issues you encountered. The property owner will be purchasing a tub for the kitchen cupboards to provide guests with space for their shopping, and we will ensure this is kept clear for future guests. The TV is being examined by an outside maintenance team to resolve the ongoing issues with regular TV channels. Instructions for the heating system are included in the welcome pack. Had we been informed, we would have gladly sent our maintenance team to assist you. The outdoor lighting issue was due to incorrect wiring, which is due to be fixed shortly. We are glad the camping lights provided some assistance in the meantime. Once again, we are very sorry that Cherry Lodge did not meet your expectations. Perfect setting with beautiful surroundings and naughty cows!

Beautiful Lodge in an amazing setting. Kevin the maintenance person was very helpful when there was an issue with the boiler. Very prompt and had a great sense of humour. The hot tub was perfect and we were lucky with the weather even though in the middle of October. Couple of issues we mentioned in guest book in lodge but things that would be easily sorted. Few more cooking trays and path out front slightly slippery when wet due to the being a little green. Would definitely go back to this lodge again. The cows gave us some good entertainment as we had to stop them eating next doors sun brolly!!

We were a family of four adults and two children. Staying Friday to Monday. 14 Cherry lodge is well equipped and in a perfect location on the site, overlooking fields when sat in patio and hot tub area. The lodge was clean, spacious and comfortable. The hot tub was enjoyed by all. A short walk takes you to the lake and cafe. Its a good base for travelling to surrounding attractions.

Having recently spent a great weekend away celebrating a birthday and Mother's Day with our family, Cherry Lodge offered everything we coukd possibly want, with the added luxury of a hot tub! The lodge was very tastefully decorated and very clean. We enjoyed breakfast at Roadford Lake Cafe and a lovely evening meal at The Eliot Arms Close by. I would definitely recommend Cherry Lodge and hope to return again next year.

we booked Cherry Lodge for a birthday weekend away. We have never stayed at this park before, it was exciting to experience and try a new location. The lodge was immaculate, Becky & Paul obviously have worked hard to make it feel so homely. It was very clean and had all the home comforts that you need. We loved the lodge and the hot tub made it even more special. The Large TV took a bit of getting used to, as it did not work on Terrestrial TV, but worked fine over the internet, we had to watch any programs via the streaming service. But it was of no real concern and worked ok. The bed was comfy and the kitchen was well kitted out with everything you needed. The walks around the lake were wonderful, finished off with a cuppa in the local lakeside restaurant. Our only real annoyance and this is nothing to do with Cherry Lodge, were the people that must have been in the lodge before us must have had their dog with them and they never cleaned up their dog mess on the grass area outside the lodge. This really annoys us as we love to take our Spaniel with us and to find quality accommodation like Cherry lodge is not easy, and we pride ourselves in always cleaning up any mess and leave the accommodation as you find it, I took it upon myself to clean up their dog mess as I did not want the owners of Cherry to think it was us that left such an awful mess. It frustrates us that some dog owners spoil it for those who really care, as all they are doing is making owners of such lovely accommodation think twice before allowing dogs. That said, we had a wonderful time and will be coming back. If you visit Cherry with your pooch, please pick up you dogs mess. Don't spoil it for those that care.

We absolutely loved Cherry lodge, after staying on site at the beginning of the year In a different lodge, cherry was much more homely. The place was spotless, really roomy and just very welcoming. It was incredible to wake up every morning to the cows at the back fence. It's very well equipped with good quality stuff which is nice, well worth the money. We will 100% come back and stay again.
