Set just 100 metres from Roadford Lake and its 250 acres of woodland, Hazel Lodge is a wonderful base from which to discover and enjoy this peaceful part of the world.

Step inside and be greeted by a spacious open-plan living/cooking and dining area and three beautifully decorated bedrooms (including a luxury en-suite master). Throw open the patio doors and create the perfect indoor/outdoor flow, with the furnished patio, complete with a bubbling hot tub, allowing you to get the most out of every hour of your getaway.

Centrally located, you quickly get out to explore the 250 acres of natural woodland that surrounds Hazel Lodge. Being so close to Roadford Lake, one of Devon's most beautiful landmarks, there is plenty of opportunities to explore the water by kayak, sailboat or SUP. With Hazel Lodge being dog-friendly, guests who wish to bring their dogs will be spoilt for choice when it's time for walkies, with several excellent viewing spots to stop, take in the scenery and breathe in the fresh, Devonshire air.

We ask our guests for a £150 Good Housekeeping Bond, pre-authorised against your credit card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved and then released afterward if there is no damage. We will contact you nearer the time of your arrival to arrange this. 
Alternatively, a one-off, nonrefundable Accidental Damage Waiver of £30 can be added to your booking to replace the Good Housekeeping Bond and can be added as an extra when processing your booking.
Pets: 2 pets allowed, £40 per pet per week (no cats please), in line with our house rules we do ask that pets are not left alone in the property, do not use the furniture or go in the upstairs/bedroom areas

Linen & Towels: Bed linen is provided for your stay, however, if you require use of the travel cot you will need to bring your own cot linen. Wi-Fi: This property offers free Wi-Fi for guests, however, we cannot guarantee the speed and connectivity. Therefore, if you are planning to work during your holiday, we recommend bringing a wifi dongle.
Hot Tub: Electric. Maintenance is carried out daily however, in the interest of guest privacy and for minimal disruption, this may occur in the very early hours of the morning,
Smoking: All of our properties are non-smoking and we ask that any party member who smokes, do so off the premises.

The lodge has parking for two cars in an allocated space at the front of your lodge.
There are a limited number of additional visitor parking spaces outside reception, on a first come first serve basis

EV Charger Point
The site has two EV charging points for guest use, situated along from reception in two designated parking spaces. The EV charging point is by MONTA. Guests will need to download the free MONTA app to make payment. We kindly ask that once your vehicle is charged, that you park in your lodge car parking space to ensure the EV spaces are free for other guests on the site.
If both chargers are unavailable, we recommend using the fast-charging station in Lifton, around a 10-minute drive away.

Great Second visit to Hazel Lidge

Another lovely stay at Hazel Lodge with grandchildren. Quiet location and easy access to vast woods and activities in the lake. Enjoyed evening cafe opening too, a very short walk from the lodge. Our dog loved her week away too, definitely hope to revisit, a perfect place for a family gathering.

We stayed in the same lodge exactly the same week last year. We revisited as we loved it that much! It is on a very quiet and peaceful site with access down through a gate and wooded area to the lake which is beautiful. There are no shops on site but a Tesco, Lidl or M&S food hall in Launceston less than 15 minute drive where we stocked up for our stay. Strawberry Fields farm shop is also less than a 10 minute drive which we visited almost daily for fresh fruit, salad, meat, deli & cakes! Lovely place and great restaurant or cafe if you want to eat out. Everything in the lodge is a very high standard and has everything you need. Our visit this year was on the exceptionally hot week so the lodge was very hot.We bought a fan from Lidl (lucky got there just as they had a delivery) as there were none in the lodge. Maybe something that could be introduced for any future guests. However having windows everywhere meant we could get some air. Nothing that would stop is going back though as the peace of the location and high quality lodge is fantastic. Another lovely relaxing stay as a family

The lodge was very roomy and lots of cuboard space comfortable enough for our party of 4 adults and 2 dogs Lovley walk for the dogs However we were subjected to a lot of noise from the other lodges Ie Children shouting at 7.30 in the morning whilst in the hot tub Children be allowed to be throwing a ball over a 6ft fence ( tree) and running round the side of the lodge at different times of the day Family very noisy on the evening I know children do play but these were not toddlers So we felt that there was no consideration from the parents We did have a issue with the hot tub however maintenance came out straight away and the issue was resolved Overall it was a nice break and a nice property However next time I will try and book in term time But I will also be booking the lodges opposite as it is much more private as you back on the a field

We enjoyed a very happy family week at Hazel Lodge and will definitely plan to go back. Perfect for a quiet family break in very nicely appointed accomodation. The hot tub was a bonus, and we loved the proximity to the lake, woods and footpaths. The watersports centre was excellent and all 3 generations tried several new activities on the water, it felt a very safe environment in a pretty setting. Thank you for allowing dogs in your beautiful lodge, she had the best of holidays too. Breakfast and ice creams at the Lake cafe are a must.

Comfortable stay in a lovely location

The lodge was large and in very good condition throughout. The furniture was comfortable and everything was clean and pristine. Beds were of good quality which made for a good nights sleep. The lodge had everything provided to make for a great weeks stay. The site is right next door to Roadford Lake which has some great walks especially if you have your dog with you and the lakes cafeteria/ restaurant served a good selection of food and drinks at reasonable prices. We had a problem with the hot tub on the day we arrived but this was rectified quickly the following day. Site is well positioned to get to a lot of tourist areas without much travelling.

Lovely lodge with everything you need, very spacious and comfortable. The lodge was tastefully decorated and felt very homely, warm and cosy. The hot tub was a great addition in the evenings to relax and unwind. The site was very quiet allowing a peaceful and comfortable sleep. The lake and woodland was easily accessible via a path from the site, everything was thought out and very well maintained. I would highly recommend staying here

Went with friends for a rest and relax weekend and that is exactly what we had. Lovely spacious, contemporary lodge with everything we needed. Hot tub was private and ready to use on first day. Customer service was excellent, responded to anything that was asked efficiently. Wouldnt hesitate to return, didn't want to come home !

After previously booking another lodge we had to be moved to hazel lodge. Despite poor communication at the start of our holiday, I was contacted by luxury coastal and the lady I spoke too (can't remember her name) was amazing, she sorted out new accommodation for us and apologised for the major inconvenience and poor communication from the previous day. Luckily it worked out for the better as hazel lodge was beautiful, lovely views or the lake, spotless site, well maintained, peaceful and close to the main road but not enough to hear it. We will definitely be returning to this site.

Was concerned about the space not being big enough over the Christmas period however the lodge was very spacious inside and the table extended to allow us to have a great Christmas experience. It was ideal as my elderly parents live nearby. The setting was nice and I imagine super in the summer months. The local pub was good but too far to walk in dark December. Needed a designated driver. . The lodge was spotless well equipped, very comfortable. Would definitely recommend it. We even managed a dip in the hot tub ! Thank you Hazel Lodge!

Although the lodge was very well equipped we were unable to find the switch for the living room fire or the towel rail in the shower room. There didnt appear to be a coffee maker or anything similar. The hot tub lid is too heavy for one person to replace it, fortunately some young men in the adjoining lodge helped.

The lodge looked brand new, very clean, had everything we needed for our stay and the hot tub was great. The site is only only small and well kept but the only thing to do is go to the gym. The only inconvenience we had was the weather was great which meant the lodge was really hot and there is no window in the main bedroom. There is a patio door but we didnt fancy leaving this open while we slept.

Booking and Accommodation all very easy and well managed. Very pleased overall with the quality of fixtures and fittings in the property. A couple of things to feedback are, handles would be a good idea in the en suite shower cubicle and on the bath in the main bathroom to give a level of safety. A complimentary dishwasher tablet would have avoided buying some. Easy access to the outside cushion store, it was quite difficult to access and saw others in other accommodation struggling too. None of these things detracted from what it lovely accommodation they are just a few suggestions.

Myself, husband and our 2 children stayed in Hazel Lodge for a week over the February Half Term. The whole break from start to finish was amazing! We received an excellent and informative information pack prior to our arrival which was very useful and were blown away when we arrived after a 5 hour journey - the lodge was simply stunning. Spotlessly clean in every room, lovely scent and the lodge was nicely heated for us which was lovely. There is plenty of storage for clothes and accessories. Our girls got straight into the hot tub which was also spotlessly clean and very easy to navigate. The park itself is very secluded (which we loved) with no onsite facilities such as a bar etc, this was perfect for us. The site was extremely well maintained, with easy direct access to the beautiful lake, cafe and playground. We arranged for a shopping delivery on the evening of our arrival which all went smoothly. We baked lots whilst there and the lodge had all the facilities you would need for this. It also had free good wifi and smart TV so we could cosy up in the evening and watch some films. All of the beds were comfortable and we all slept really well. The en-suite was a generous size and the shower was lovely and powerful. The main bathroom was also great for storage and included a lovely bath with another powerful shower. The location is superb, very quiet, on clear nights you can sit in the hot tub and watch the stars as there is very little light pollution. The lake was perfect for morning walks with the dog and the playground was brilliant for the kids. We didn't use the cafe but it always looked full and welcoming. We went to the other side of the lake to enjoy some kayaking and paddle boarding, this was very laid back and easy to book. You are close to many beaches, we went to Bude so we could swim in the sea pool, freezing cold but very refreshing and the views were stunning. All in all we had a perfect break and are already looking to book for next year with my parents also booking a lodge too. If you are looking for a high quality, peaceful and relaxing break, Roadford Lake Lodges is where you need to be!
