Imagine waking up to the sound of the sea, being so close to the waves that you can almost dip your toes in from the edge of your bed.

A break at Waters Edge, 3 At the Beach is coastal living at its best. When you step inside your beautiful apartment, you’ll be instantly drawn to the large patio doors that open out onto your very own terrace.

Whether you’re enjoying a leisurely breakfast or catching the last of the summer sun, you won’t want to leave. When you head back inside, you can still take in the view from the comfort of the living room and the modern kitchen will make preparing meals a pleasure.

If you can peel yourself away from your picture postcard view, you can spend your days discovering some of Devon’s best loved beaches and towns; Salcombe and Dartmouth are just a short drive away. If you don’t want to wander too far, you can stroll along Slapton Sands before stopping in a pretty café or the local pub for a spot of lunch.

We ask our guests for a £100 Good Housekeeping Bond, pre-authorised against your credit card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved and then released afterward if there is no damage. We will contact you nearer the time of your arrival to arrange this. 
Alternatively, a one-off, nonrefundable Accidental Damage Waiver of £30 can be added to your booking to replace the Good Housekeeping Bond and can be added as an extra when processing your booking.

Linen & Towels: Bed linen is provided for your stay, however, if you require use of the travel cot you will need to bring your own cot linen. Please note that from 7th September 2026 until June 2027 the nearby public Tank Car Park will be out of action. You will still have an allocated parking space available in the At The Beach car park though.

From 7th September - 17th October, the sea defence operations work will be being set up in the Tank Car Park, and some noise will be heard during this time.

From 17th October, sea defence work to Torcross Sea Front will commence. The work will be dependent on the tides, with the rocks being placed when the tide is low, in a 25 metre stretch from the sea wall out to sea. The rock armour defence will be built in 5 metre sections within the low tide windows starting at the southern end (where At The Beach apartments are located), working in parallel along the beach towards the northern end slipway.

Completion of works is estimated for Spring 2027 time. It will take approximately 4-5 months to complete the main rock armour, so the works will be ongoing over the autumn and winter months, with the area around the car park and slipway. We anticipate that this will likely create additional noise in the area. For the first couple weeks of the work, as this apartment is sea facing, you will be able to see the work. For more information, please contact the Luxury Coastal Team.

There is a maximum of one parking space for the apartment. Any additional vehicles left within the At The Beach car park may be subject to a £25 per day parking fine

For guest’s safety, CCTV cameras are located in the inner patio and on the outside of the At The Beach building

As always we had a fabulous holiday in 3 at the beach, everything as usual was great but this year we had a few niggles, that we passed on and hope that when we return later this year there will be a new washing machine, new lock on bathroom door and a new kitchen tap. All in all we love the place and god willing will visit many more times.

The apartment was in first class condition very clean ideally located for our needs .we used the place as a base so we could visit different areas around Devon and also wanted to visit Torcross itself to see the Tank memorial .There is a farm shop just down the road it sells all the food supplies you would ever need and if you need anything else Kingsbridge has everything which about 7 miles away..The apartment had we needed including a hairdryer ironing board and iron and plenty of wardrobe space .

Lovely Apartment in a Fantastic location right by the sea, Secure parking is a massive bonus as is the short level walk to the Start Bay Inn for a fantastic meal at reasonable prices, John was so friendly and a mass of usefull information. Will defintely be back again next year if available.

Amazing apartment, great location. Right in front of the sea so you can have patio doors open and listen to the sound of the sea, very relaxing. The area is rural and remote so the you get a very chilled feeling as its densely populated which is great if you like peace and quiet. The apartment has everything you need. So if you come and have forgot something it wont matter. Lots of local places of interest and lots of places to visit within a short drive. If you like it quiet and not really a busy peoples person this is the place for you.

Amazing location, area is of beautiful scenery. The sea is right outside your patio and the sound of the waves is very tranquil. Fantastic pub with amazing food is just metres away. Lots of local places of interest to visit too. Apartment has everything you need from fresh bedding and towels to all the utensils you need. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Truly, right beside the sea.

Wonderful breakfast on the terrace in the sun, literally a stone's throw from the sea wall and the churning waves. Bit more shady in the evening, with a chilly onshore wind. Able to lie in bed and see the sun rise over the sea from the twin room - the nicer of the bedrooms. Not much room around the beds in either room, and my wife, who has restricted movement, found both the bath and the shower rather lacking in hand holds, with no mat and no shower hose. Good places to eat at the pub and café in the village, and the Stokely Farm Shop. The Cricket Inn in Beesands may look less foodie than the Britannia crab café, but there is more space, the menu is amazing, and the cooking and presentation are excellent.

It was a nice apartment a little tired but the caretaker who helped us with heating said it was due to be refurbished the shower was a little difficult to get into if you were a big person door did not open very wide so we wouldn't pick this one again but the view from the apartment amazing

The property is in a splendid location, right next to the sea, and a small walk to the local pub (Start Bay Inn). Inside the apartment is in super condition. The patio table and chairs have been replaced this year and are really good. I really enjoyed my stay there, and have already booked the apartment for 2025.

At the beach gave us everything we wanted. A lovely sea view with peace and quiet. Instant access to fantastic walks. A pub just up the way and a farm shop that does lovely food and the added bonus of a tap room selling locally brewed beer. Ideally situated for day trips to Brixham, Dartmouth and Salcombe, all of which are nice to visit. Would recommend.

I love this area and have stayed in this apartment a few times. It has a fabulous view from the terrace, and is close to a nice pub. We watched tuna leaping from Star Point, swallows gathering to migrate for the winter, hundreds of wagtails flocking over Slapton Ley, and beautiful sunrises. The good early autumn weather was a bonus! A perfect long weekend. Will be back.

All a bit tired

We have been staying at various apartments at At the Beach for nearly 20 years and have had pretty good experiences, but not so much this time. Outside was infested with flies who got into the place-not much they can do about that but they could let you know and we would have gone with the usual upstairs apartments. The apartment layout itself is dark, crockery and utensils tired and insufficient and the bedrooms very small-not one we would stay in again..

Excellent location but property a bit small for the price.

We very much enjoyed our stay. We had been in other apartments in the building in the past and this one clearly won on the view and the convenient ground floor location. On the negative side we found both bedrooms very small with only room for a bedside table on one side of the bed. In the second bedroom the one side of the bed was against the wall making it difficult to get into and make up. The en suite shower room had no shelf either over the basin or in the shower.

The property is in a splendid location, right next to the sea, and a small walk to the local pub (Start Bay Inn). Inside the apartment is in super condition, with some new dining chairs. I would like to say that the patio table and chairs are starting to look a bit frayed and worn compared to adjacent apartments, and could do with being updated. However, they were still ok to use. There was a water leak coming from inside the roof overlooking the patio (not from the guttering), which occasionally dripped on to the patio, meaning that the table and chairs had to be moved away from it. I really enjoyed my stay there, and have already booked the apartment for 2024.

Excellent quality accommodation in Torcross.The beds were the most comfortable in anywhere weve stayed, seating in the lounge area wasnt very comfortable but we sat outside a lot of the time due to the good weather

We have stayed at 3 At the Beach tow or three times per year for the last 10 years. Luxury Coastal always go above and beyond as does the caretaker, any issues however small are sorted as soon as possible. Wouldnt stay anywhere else and wouldnt use another company.

I wanted a holiday where I could hear the sea ,and I got exactly that it was so relaxing. The place was spotless and had been modernised to a high spec there is a lovely nature reserve just across the road,also a great pub the start inn with delicious food within walking distance. Thanks for a great experience

Right on the seafront, great cycling country, Coastal walks on your doorstep but steep Nice local pub and nice pubs not far from Torcross. Nice farmshop nearby
