With its own entrance at the back of the building and a bright and airy atmosphere throughout, The Penthouse offers a well-equipped, luxurious holiday home that has fantastic views over the Ley, village and beach from its open plan living area and kitchen. Tasteful furnishings, modern features, and plenty of space for all means you'll feel right at home from the moment you step inside, while its three gorgeous bedrooms, two bathrooms and a washroom provide ample space for six guests, and the perfect base for exploring the delights of South Devon.

At The Beach is situated in the village of Torcross, set within the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Steps away from the apartment are Slapton Ley Nature Reserve and bird sanctuary on one side and a three-mile shingle beach on the other side, which was used as a training ground for the US Army in the preparation for the D-Day in World War II.

The calm, safe waters are ideal for families. Positioned within easy reach of some of South Devon’s best beaches at Blackpool Sands, Hallsands and Thurlestone. The area is fantastic for coastal walks, bird watching and sight-seeing. If you want to explore further afield, Dartmouth (9 miles), Kingsbridge (7 miles) and Salcombe (13 miles) are within easy reach.

    Linen & Towels: Bed linen is provided for your stay, however, if you require use of the travel cot you will need to bring your own cot linen. Each guest will be supplied with one hand towel and one bath towel for their stay. (if your holiday is longer than 10 days, please contact the Luxury Coastal team to discuss a mid-stay linen change)
    Wi-Fi: This property offers free Wi-Fi for guests, however, we cannot guarantee the speed and connectivity. Therefore, if you are planning to work during your holiday, we recommend bringing a wifi dongle.
    Coffee Machine: Built-in bean-to-cup coffee machine in addition to a free standing Tassimo coffee and drinks pod machine
    Smoking: All of our properties are non-smoking and we ask that any party member who smokes, do so off the premises.
    Property surroundings: For guest’s safety, 16 At The Beach has a motion sensor Ring Doorbell, which records guests and visitors when approaching the front door.

    There is additional parking around the corner from At The Beach which is free on a first come first serve basis. There is also a long stay pay and display car park which is a few minutes walk away and details can be found here

Good Housekeeping Bond
We ask our guests for a £150 good housekeeping bond, which is pre-authorised against your card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved and then released afterwards if there is no claim. We will contact you nearer the time of your arrival to arrange this.

Please note, ongoing improvement works are taking place to the exterior of the At The Beach building until the end of June 2024. During this time parts of the render will be removed, with new render applied and painted. Exact dates and times of the works will be weather dependant. At the Beach occupies a prime position in the sleepy South Devon village of Torcross, perfect for those who like to kick-back and relax. Sehr schöne Wohnung an einem traumhaften Ort

Wir haben eine sehr schöne Woche mit sechs Personen in Torcross verbracht. Es ist fantastisch, den Strand direkt vor der Tür zu haben, den Pub nur wenige Meter weiter und tolle Wandermöglichkeiten in der Nähe. Die Küstenwege sind herrlich und oftmals sind auch Seehunde zu sehen. Die Wohnung würden wir jederzeit wieder nehmen, jedoch muss man wissen, dass der Weg zur Wohnung für Personen mit handicap oder zum Entladen und Beladen etwas beschwerlich ist, da es mehrere Treppen rauf und runter bis zur Wohnung sind. Der Ausblick ist toll, der nahegelegene Parkplatz eine gute Sache. In der Wohnung kann man sich richtig wohlfühlen. Die Aufteilung ist gut, die Geräte sind sehr modern, die Sitzgelegenheiten und die Betten gemütlich und die Ausstattung mehr als ausreichend. Es gibt genug Informationsmaterial zu den Geräten. Der Kontakt war nett und es war alles sehr unproblematisch. Wir können diese Wohnung sehr empfehlen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Manuel aus Duisburg (Deutschland)

Generally very pleased but a couple of maintenance concerns

We found the accommodation very comfortable .However the hot water kettle tap was broken throughout the majority of the stay.The jacuzzi on the master bedroom emitted Green slime on first use , so unable to use it.The impression we had was that the outside sitting space was exclusive, however it was communal.Having said all of that it was compensated by a very responsive support team .

We did offer to come round and have a look at the jacuzzi bath however I believe you didn't want us to, this has now been fully serviced and we do apologise you encountered this problem. The hot water tap is not able to be fixed as of now so we do supply a kettle in the property and as for outside on our website we do state it is communal sorry if this was missed. Hills and Beach - what else could you want

We rented the Penthouse for our family reunion. We wanted a place that was near the water and provided enough space for 4 adults. The Penthouse is a really cozy, comfortable apartment that is literally right on the beach and provides extensive walking routes to other beaches over green hills. The kitchen was fully equipped though I had wished that the frying pan had been less scratched.
