Embrace coastal living with a stay in this beautiful Torcross apartment. Perched on the far end of a three mile stretch of shingle beach, At The Beach apartments couldn’t be closer to the sea.

Sea views and spacious living are the order of the day at number 6 with a bright, light filled layout that embraces real coastal living. An open plan design incorporates the fabulously equipped kitchen and dining area into the living room, creating a sociable space to cook, relax in and enjoy a few wonderful meals together. A soft blue and neutral colour scheme throughout are in keeping with the apartment’s beach side location, and a wonderful balcony complete with bistro table and seating makes the ideal spot to enjoy an open-air breakfast or a refreshing aperitif.

Torcross is a small village that has a delightfully quaint atmosphere. The calm, safe waters are ideal for families; and miles of beach to run on make it great for dogs and their owners too. Positioned within easy reach of some of South Devon’s best beaches, Blackpool Sands is just around the corner, as is the vibrant and popular town of Dartmouth.

    Pets: 2 pets allowed, £25 per pet per week, in line with our house rules we do ask that pets are not left alone in the property, do not use the furniture or go in the upstairs/bedroom areas
    Number of steps: There are 20 steps across varying levels from the car park to the front door of apartment. Please note that while the apartment is all on one level there is a large step between the main bathroom and the rest of the apartment.
    Type of heating: Central heating with radiators
    Linen & Towels: Bed linen is provided for your stay. Each guest will be supplied with one hand towel and one bath towel for their stay. (if your holiday is longer than 10 days, please contact the Luxury Coastal team to discuss a mid-stay linen change)
    Wi-Fi: This property offers free Wi-Fi for guests, however, we cannot guarantee the speed and connectivity. Therefore, if you are planning to work during your holiday, we recommend bringing a wifi dongle.
    Coffee Machine: Cafetiere
    Smoking: All of our properties are non-smoking and we ask that any party member who smokes, do so off the premises.

    • There is additional parking around the corner from At The Beach which is free on a first come first serve basis. There is also a long stay pay and display car park which is a few minutes walk away and details can be found here

Welcome to At The Beach, Torcross

At the Beach occupies a prime position in the sleepy South Devon village of Torcross, perfect for those who like to kick-back and relax. Many of the apartments have wonderful views out to sea or across to Slapton Ley Nature Reserve, a haven for wildlife throughout the year and, as the name suggests, you can be on the beach within minutes.

Pre Christmas Break

Stayed in number 6@the beach. Apartment is in an amazing location. Overall very clean, but a few things could be improved - rug in living room is grubby and curtains marked. Apartment has everything you need but there is a lack of cupboard space for food which you bring on a self catering stay. Also didn’t find the freezer until day we left as it is located in a cupboard by the entrance this is something that could be pointed out in the information book. Access is not the best lots of steps and some safety lighting was not working by entrance gate which has a step and difficult to see as pitch black at night. Car park is located across the road from apartment so loading and unloading luggage is tricky. We stayed with a dog and the balcony area is open so they can stray onto other apartment balcony areas which could be an issue in a busier season when other apartments are occupied. The customer service for this company is excellent kept well informed and when we did contact were very helpful and efficient. None of the above would put us off returning for an out of season break.

No. 6 At the Beach

No 6 At the Beach is a very comfortable, dog friendly apartment with a large balcony with great views of the beach and Torcross village. Access to the apartment is actually via a gate opposite the private parking area in the side road to the block - we entered via the main entrance and found it very difficult to find No 6! A notice board with a map showing where each apartment is located would be helpful! Luxury Coastal Concierge were very helpful when we rang them and we had a very nice stay. The pub and cafes are very good but there isn't a grocery shop in the village, so nearest shop is the farmshop outside the village or in Kingsbridge.

Pleasant break by the sea

Whilst the apartment is in a great location it is in need of some internal and outside maintenance. We could not fault the incredible views from the balcony however the outside area is very tatty and obviously had not be cleaned prior to our stay. There were several other things like the bin under the sink had a broken lid. The Freezer needed defrosting and there were several broken Venetian blinds. The bedroom outside doors could do with some WD40 as there were very squeaky when opened. On the positive side the beds were very comfortable and we had a pleasant stay which helped with the weather being so good. With a little bit of updating this apartment could be so much better. I would recommend this property if the above issues were rectified.

It was a beautiful location, but the apartment did not feel clean. The Customer service was excellent & Torcross was a beautiful location with everything to hand including Stokely Farm Shop for all our provisions

Good base for a short break

Great location for the view and the beach but the village is a bit lacking. The only pub is dog tolerant, not dog friendly. The apartment is mostly very good though the shower room in particular needs some attention.
