Willingcott, spanning 100 acres of countryside, provides ample opportunities for outdoor activities with numerous walking routes and cycle tracks. Woolacombe Beach, awarded a ‘World Class Surfing Reserve,’ offers three miles of golden beach with famous Atlantic swells, perfect for sunbathing, swimming, rock pooling, or surfing.

Good Housekeeping Bond or Accidental Damage Waiver
We ask our guests for a £200 Good Housekeeping Bond, pre-authorised against your credit card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved and then released afterward if there is no damage. We will contact you nearer the time of your arrival to arrange this. 
Alternatively, a one-off, nonrefundable Accidental Damage Waiver of £30 can be added to your booking to replace the Good Housekeeping Bond and can be added as an extra when processing your booking.
Pets: 2 pets allowed, £40 per pet per week, in line with our house rules we do ask that pets are not left alone in the property, do not use the furniture or go in the upstairs/bedroom areas
Type of heating: Infra-red ceiling heaters and heated towel rails in bathrooms
Linen & Towels: Bed linen is provided for your stay, however, if you require use of the travel cot you will need to bring your own cot linen. Each guest will be supplied with one hand towel and one bath towel for their stay. (If your holiday is longer than 10 days, please contact the Luxury Coastal team to discuss a mid-stay linen change)

A great stay at The Vista

We had a lovely four-night stay at The Vista, staying in property number five. On arrival, we were really pleasantly surprised by the property itself. It is beautiful, spacious, very well laid out and generally very well equipped, and the hot tub was fantastic and kept clean regularly. The location is great, although I did feel the advertising was slightly misleading in terms of the setting. The Vista is actually situated on the edge/back of an existing holiday park. The other holiday park is perfectly pleasant, but this wasn't quite what we had expected from the description of The Vista. The shared swimming pool is also part of the wider holiday complex rather than The Vista itself. It is booked in time slots, which makes complete sense, but we hadn't realised this in advance and, because our itinerary wasn't fixed, we weren't able to make much use of it. We also didn't particularly fancy going into the other holiday park to use the facilities, so in the end we didn't use the pool at all. The property itself was lovely, but there are a few small touches that could make a real difference, particularly given the price point. Only some of the bathrooms had hand soap, and each toilet had just one toilet roll. Luckily, this just about lasted four days for our family of five, but a few spare rolls would have been appreciated. The bedding was perfectly adequate but didn't feel quite as luxurious as we would have expected for the price of the property. There were some other small housekeeping issues. The washing pods had unfortunately got wet and were unusable, and the towels left on the beds were damp and folded, so I had to hang them out to dry. I did let the team know about this. On the positive side, the house was very well equipped, with washing-up liquid, dishwasher tablets, utensils, cutlery and basic essentials such as pepper provided. The team were also always available via WhatsApp, which was extremely helpful. We had some issues with the Wi-Fi and they came to help us rectify it. We eventually discovered that Apple devices need to be running the latest operating system, but unfortunately our children's iPads weren't up to date and, without Wi-Fi, we couldn't update them. As a result, the kids were Wi-Fi-free for the entire four days probably not necessarily a bad thing! We also brought our dogs, for which we paid an additional fee. Our only issue was that the individual gardens aren't enclosed. This meant we had to keep a very close eye on the dogs, particularly alongside our disabled child, to make sure nobody wandered away from the property. A small amount of fencing around each garden would make a huge difference, particularly given that only some of the properties are dog-friendly. In the end, we actually arranged for a friend who lives nearby to collect our dogs, as it was easier for us. Overall, though, these are relatively minor points. We had a really lovely stay and the property itself is beautiful, comfortable and in a great location. With a few extra little touches and some clearer information about the setting and shared facilities, I think it could be exceptional. We would definitely consider booking again and would recommend The Vista to others.

A brilliant holiday at Willingcott, the holiday home was amazing we had such a lovely view and the house was modern and welcoming. Would reccomend this place to anyone especially with children who are looking for a group holiday. We will be booking again.

Lovely accommodation and catered for everyone well - We had 4 generations staying (my 86 year old Mum, myself, my 2 daughters and husbands, my daughter in law and my 3 gorgeous Grandchildren ages 4, 1 and 6 weeks) It was super spacious accommodation with plenty of bathrooms and very easy even with young children. It is our second stay at No 5 and we will definitely be back next year as we love this area of Devon.

Attractive accommodation with beautiful view (we were in no 5) with great hot tub. Very well equipped. Great location, within easy reach of fantastic beaches. Marketed as luxury accommodation but only provide one loo roll per bathroom and 4 dishwasher tablets for a whole week for 8 people - this is penny pinching - have not experienced this even in fairly basic holiday lets since the 1990s! Let down by pool as there is a booking system and you are only guaranteed two sessions per week which you have to book in advance and when on holiday one wants to be spontaneous. It all seemed like too much bother.

This approach is quite common in self-catering stays, though we appreciate it may differ from other experiences. Regarding the pool, we aim to balance access and comfort for all guests by using a booking system, which is outlined in our pre-arrival information. While we understand spontaneity is part of the holiday spirit, the system helps ensure everyone can enjoy the pool in a relaxed and uncrowded environment. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at No 5 The Vista, the accommodation was fantastic with a lot of space, all the bedrooms were lovely. The outside terrace/seating area with hot tub great for enjoying the morning sun and we had wonderful views over the South Downs. We had 4 generations staying from ages 3 to 85 and the accommodation suited everyone well. Will definitely be staying again.

We picked this location for a multi-generational family holiday and it was perfect. The house was raved over by everyone (with ages ranging from 6 to 78). Beautifully decorated and furnished, lovely bedrooms and super-comfortable beds and bedding, and a fantastic communal space. Theres a great barbecue too. The highlight was the hot tub - big enough for everyone and of all the houses in the Vista, easily the best views. Stunning. Brilliantly located just a short drive from wonderful Woolacombe beach. I cant recommend this highly enough.

We enjoyed a fabulous few days at Vista 5, beautiful, comfortable accommodation with plenty of space for all the family. The lodge was very well equipped and in a lovely peaceful location, a short drive from Woolacombe and away from the hustle and bustle. The hot tub was an added luxury and as the weather was a little cold and windy a great treat to come home to. I will definitely be coming back, just waiting for next years dates to be released.
