With its stunning scenery and reputation for being one of Cornwall’s best family beaches, Harlyn Bay is the epitome of dreamy coastal holiday destinations - the perfect location for your next Cornish escape.

Recently built and overlooking the bay, Harlyn Penthouse has been designed and furnished to a very high standard and features three ground floor bedrooms and four bathrooms, all tastefully styled and luxuriously kitted out. On its top floor, a fabulous open-plan kitchen, dining, living room provides plenty of space for socialising, and sliding doors that open the interior to the property’s two large terraces, one to the side and one to the front.

The terrace to the side (which isn’t overlooked by any neighbouring properties) is a terrific spot for sunbathing and relaxation. It has sun loungers and outdoor sofa suites for kicking back and chilling to your heart’s content. The dining terrace to the front sits undercover to provide shade and shelter and showcases incredible sea views. Here you can spend time in the fresh air, brunching al fresco together, or watching the sun set over the bay with a glass or two of bubbly.

Of course, holidays in Harlyn Bay are all about spending time in the sea and on the sand, and here you’ll have the best of both. The beach itself is wide and spacious and backed by sand dunes (which act as a wind break) has a reputation for being safe, which means it’s ideal for paddling in the shallows or learning to surf. It also has plenty of rock pools to explore, so great news if you’re holidaying with tots in tow. On the ground floor of the Karrek development is a tap room, restaurant and farm shop, and if a special evening of fine dining is a 'must', The Pig in Harlyn is a terrific choice. The pretty harbour town of Padstow, a short drive from Harlyn Bay, offers shopping, boat trips and outstanding restaurants like those run by Paul Ainsworth and Rick Stein.

Good Housekeeping Bond or Accidental Damage Waiver
We ask our guests for a £150 Good Housekeeping Bond, pre-authorised against your credit card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved and then released afterward if there is no damage. We will contact you nearer the time of your arrival to arrange this. 
Alternatively, a one-off, nonrefundable Accidental Damage Waiver of £30 can be added to your booking to replace the Good Housekeeping Bond and can be added as an extra when processing your booking.
Pets: 1 pet allowed, £40 per pet per week, in line with our house rules we do ask that pets are not left alone in the property, do not use the furniture or go in the bedrooms. There are restrictions surrounding dogs and the outside spaces which are laid out in the welcome folder for all guests.
Number of steps: 2 flights of stairs to the apartment front door, 1 flight of stairs inside the property as a duplex apartment. There is also a operation lift in the main apartment building.
Type of heating: Electric underfloor heating
Linen & Towels: Bed linen is provided for your stay. Each guest will be supplied with one hand towel and one bath towel for their stay. (if your holiday is longer than 10 days, please contact the Luxury Coastal team to discuss a mid-stay linen change) Please let us know the bed configurations at the time of booking, if not your configuration needs may not be met.
Wi-Fi: This property offers free Wi-Fi for guests. In a recent speed test, the download speed was recorded at 142.6mbps and the upload speed 29.3mbps, as with all Wi-Fi networks we are unable to guarantee speed and connectivity.
Smoking: All of our properties are non-smoking and we ask that any party member who smokes, do so off the premises.

There is an outside tap just underneath the stairs for rinsing off wetsuits as well as a storage cupboard for beach gear etc
Parking
This property offers two allocated parking spaces. Harlyn Bay has a long stay car park in the village (less than 5 minutes’ walk away) which is not managed by Cornwall council - please note that there is no overnight parking permitted here.

A perfect stay in Harlyn

This was our second stay at the Harlyn Penthouse as a family of four (kids are 2 &5). You can't get a much better location, a minutes walk to the beach and three great food options nearby. It's very spacious which is great for the kids running and playing. The property felt just as clean and fresh as it did last year, maintaining the very high standards. We will definitely be back for a third time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Harlyn Penthouse for the second year running. The apartment is modern, incredibly spacious, comfortable and immaculately clean. The location is excellent; we loved being able to just cross the road to the beach and SWC footpath for running in the mornings. The Harlyn pub downstairs was a bonus and other than a few people leaving one evening, caused no disturbance at all.

Glorious stay

This is our second time staying at the Harlyn Penthouse and we couldn't have been luckier with the weather. A wonderful stay and we have already booked our next trip! We love it here, thank you. Location is 10/10. The apartment is comfortable and well decorated/appointed with three very well-sized bedrooms. Furniture is top quality. We were also very impressed with the new shop on the premises, Harlyn Supply Stores; very well stocked and incredibly useful. For a family of five, this apartment is a perfect combination of proximity to the beach and size. A couple of things to flag (they didn't detract from our stay). Some of the outdoor furniture requires repair and in general, we felt both terraces require a little TLC. While the new shop is a significant benefit to the complex, I am in two minds about the new bar/restaurant, the Harlyn. On the whole, we experienced limited inconvenience but on our final night, the bar played loud live music which kept our children awake. In addition, there was rubbish (e.g. empty pint glasses) in the car park the following morning which slightly affected the relaxing ambience and cleanliness of the property. Hopefully teething problems that will be rectified...as I say, it didn't detract from a fantastic holiday!

We were delighted with the accommodation - spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished, very roomy and in a superb position overlooking Harlyn Beach. To be able to sit out on the covered balcony for breakfast in the summer would be lovely. The rooms were well heated and had plenty of comfy seating in the lounge area. We had a very enjoyable break.

Having travelled to Harlyn bay for over 25 years it was a shame over the last five years that the Harlyn inn and accommodation were not available but now with the new complex shop and bar now open the place is even better than before and the Harlyn penthouse with glorious views over the beach and th beautiful sound of the ocean is the perfect luxurious place to stop. The bedrooms are roomy and comfortable, the kitchen has everything you need and the spacious lounge with huge tv is ace. The outside area are also gorgeous and in the warmer months would be perfect to watch the sun go down. All round it was wonderful but dont tell anyone as Harlyn for me is the best kept secret in Cornwall.

We spent a week at Harlyn Penthouse, a hidden gem we found when looking to stay somewhere different on the North Coast to our usual places. We knew Harlyn Bay was a great location and the Penthouse didn't disappoint a perfect match of a great spot with a great place to stay. The Penthouse is fitted out lovely, sympathetic to its location, comfortable and very well appointed with all its amenities and services, definitely not a place we wanted to return from and hope to return to. Luxury Coastal and associated support services were also very professional and communicated well. I would recommend both The Penthouse and Luxury Coastal

Beautiful apartment in a fantastic position with great views and lovely coastal walks on the doorstep. The Beach Box restaurant is just over the road and handy if you dont want to cook. Parking was easy. Will be easier to carry luggage in once the lift is installed in the apartment building.
