Backed by a landscaped, tiered garden, the area feels private and peaceful, with steps leading up to a fabulous roof terrace where sweeping sea views are showcased; perfect for fresh air dining or for soaking up the Devonshire sunshine on hot days.

Practically, the home’s interior space works just as beautifully creating areas to come together in as well as room to be apart, with a convivial open plan layout incorporating the home’s huge living room with luxury seating and entertainment system, contemporary kitchen and large, spacious dining area. Perfect for whipping up anything from a full English to a roast dinner, the kitchen is fully kitted out and includes a breakfast bar with seating, while the dining area which looks out over the terrace, creates a sociable space for sharing meals and conversation. Downstairs, the three modern bedrooms are generously proportioned to provide guests with space to retreat to after days spent enjoying the sun and surf, and the family suite with its furnished snug is ideal for guests with children in tow.

    Security Deposit: We ask our guests for a £300 good housekeeping bond, which is pre-authorised against your card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved (held as a pending transaction) and then released afterwards if there is no damage or additional cleaning. This will be held on the card on file 7 days prior to your arrival.
    Pets: 1 pet allowed (2 dogs are accepted on request), £35 per pet, per week, in line with our house rules we do ask that pets are not left alone in the property, do not use the furniture or go in the bedroom areas
    Number of steps: 1 flight of internal stairs. No external steps.
    Type of heating: Central heating; underfloor
    Linen & Towels: Bed linen is provided for your stay, however, if you require use of the travel cot you will need to bring your own cot linen. Each guest will be supplied with one hand towel and one bath towel for their stay. (if your holiday is longer than 10 days, please contact the Luxury Coastal team to discuss a mid-stay linen change)
    Wi-Fi: This property offers free Wi-Fi for guests, however, we cannot guarantee the speed and connectivity. Therefore, if you are planning to work during your holiday, we recommend bringing a wifi dongle.

    Smoking: All of our properties are non-smoking and we ask that any party member who smokes, do so off the premises.

    On entering the home guests are welcomed into a large double height entrance hall with a console table and offering a selection of holiday reads, and the staircase sweeping up to the living areas

    The living area lies on the upper floor of the house and is open plan with the kitchen and dining room. It offers an incredibly spacious, light-filled and beautifully furnished zone to unwind in whether for watching a movie together or for simply hanging out in. Modern furnishings and comfortable sofas along with a 58” Panasonic smart TV, Sony Bluetooth surround sound system and Phillips Blu Ray player mean there’s plenty to keep the whole family entertained even in wetter weather

    The ultra-sleek kitchen is open plan with the living room and dining area and features ample worktop space and storage as well as an island that doubles as a breakfast bar with four barstool chairs. It is fully fitted with a range of small and large appliances including a Neff induction hob and cooker, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle and cafetiere

    All three bedrooms are on the ground floor, are beautifully furnished and feature high quality bedding and luxury linens

    Situated on the ground floor this bedroom features a super king size bed (which can be configured to two singles on request) and its own en-suite shower room. Additional furniture includes a tall chest of drawers, a dressing table with stool, bedside tables and lamps, and storage for clothes

    Family Suite
    The family suite is large and spacious and features a king size bed and a snug with three comfy armchairs, a floor cushion and flat screen Smart television. A large built-in wardrobe provides ample space for storage as do the bedside tables and large chest of drawers

    Located on the ground floor this bedroom is furnished with a double bed and has access to the front of the property through glass patio doors. Other furniture includes a chest of drawers and two bedside table with lamps

    Challaborough Bay holiday park lies adjacent to Beachdown approximately 150 meters from the beach and offers seasonal facilities including a diner, bar, local grocery store, surf shop and an indoor swimming pool (accessible for a fee). There is also an outdoor communal shower for de-sanding wetsuits and feet.

Excellent location, some great walks right from the front door. Fabulous property, kitchen was really well equipped, everything was there for a self catering holiday, we had a really comfortable stay. Just a minor suggestion would be to put a mirror in the ensuite bedroom but otherwise the property was perfect.
